We stayed at The Appy Lodge last week for our trip to the smoky mountains. The lodge was beautiful with some rustic charm. The staff was warm and courteous and took care of any requests we had immediately. The indoor and outdoor swimming pools added to the stay. The breakfast options made it easy to start the day. The proximity to the mountains and the downtown made the stay even more pleasant and convenient. I totally recommend The Appy Lodge for your vacation to the smoky mountains.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful as we were figuring out what to do. The property is fun with fire pits going, indoor and outdoor pools, and cute cabin style rooms.

The day shift front desk woman was not friendly or helpful. The evening shift man was great. Friendly and helpful. It was pretty clean. The property and pools were great. The room smelled musty and air-conditioner worked good, but was noisy. It was a great location and overall a nice place to stay. Hot tub was really nice too.

Nice

Just back from 3 nights at the Appy Lodge. Good location with trolley stop in the parking lot. Room suited our needs. However the elevator was out of service and seems to have been for some time. No ETA on a repairs. Most guests seemed frustrated with having to transport luggage up/down two and three flights of stairs. Pool areas were nice but water was very cloudy in both so did not swim. Most recent posted inspection sited issues with water quality. Unfortunate since the pool was one of the reasons we booked. We wanted so much to live the Appy but will not return.

Couldn't check in until 4 P. M. Had to stand in line quite a bit because of this rule. When I questioned this the clerk just said that's the rule. Everyone waits. Will not be staying here again!

Elevator wasn't working and was not notified; staff was uninformed; maid service was sloppy.

Elevator was broken, room had a moldy smell. Ac was not working properly

Love The Appy. The staff is helpful, property and the rooms are always clean. Easy parking and close to downtown Gatlinburg. It is very convenient that the trolley stop is right by the hotel. I definitely recommend.

Everything was great

Nice, clean rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Decent breakfast choices. Very nice pool and hot tub. The location is great too! It's just outside of the main traffic congestion going into Gatlinburg so it can get a little backed up but not too bad. The outside pool is basically just for the slide, there's no place to just swim out there. The small, 3ft deep section in front of the slide needs to be roped off because when bigger kids or adults come flying down the slide, they can hit anyone who happens to "swim" into the general area. But the indoor pool is great! So we just spent more time in there instead.

The bedding and linens were outstanding I think my scan was softer just from sleeping in the bed

Breakfast room needs help from 7 to 10am

It was very clean. The staff were wonderful.

Clean and maintained well. Pool was small but the slide was nice. Breakfast was minimal and insufficient seating. Breakfast needed more staff to assist to keep up with volume of guests.

Clean rooms and enjoyed hot tub

quiet, positioned between two major tourist destinations, felt like a lodge would have liked a more attentive staff - early on, we were not properly directed to our room until we had already walked up and down one half of the first floor - at Midnight we had to request they do something about the wild children and screaming going on inside the room next to us

We liked everything about our stay at the Appy Lodge. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about all things Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge related. There's a trolly that runs from the hotel into both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
