This is quite the gem! So much history and convenient to downtown. The rocking chairs on the front porch just welcome you right in! Thank you for an EXCELLENT first stay. We will be back!

It’s a great historic hotel. Brings you back to the days when times were simpler. Bathroom was updated and beds comfortable. Room was clean as well as the common areas. Breakfast was typical hotel continental and decent. Great location since it’s right in the middle of the parkway strip. Request a balcony in front of the hotel for street view if occasional noise from the street doesn’t bother you. Will definitely book here again.

Breakfast was very good. Coffee and tea always available. Rooms are tiny. Two bed rooms are full size, not queen. The floor slopes in hall and rooms. I was there with several people, in several rooms. All tiny. All sloping floors. It was like walking around in a fun house- drunk! Few outlets and lights in rooms. The worst part was the beds had feet that stuck out. Every family member in every room clobbered their feet or shins on these. I broke a toe, which put a damper on hiking. Staff are very friendly and location is excellent. Pool is small. The main thing they mean by " historic" is not modernized.

Awesome hotel! I have always wanted to stay here and finally did. I walked by this hotel hundreds of times as a kid and an adult. I should have tried it out a long time ago. Perfect location, clean and a step back in time. This is our new favorite place.

We had a very comfortable room with a balcony and two rocking chairs. The bed was nice and comfortable and the shower had good pressure and lots of heat.

Hotel staff were amazingly nice and welcoming. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast was the best we have ever had at a hotel. The only thing that we didn’t like was that there isn’t a mini refrigerator in the room. This is very inconvenient, especially since it was so hot outside and we had no way to keep our water cold. There isn’t a microwave either

The staff, cleanliness and location of the property was awesome! I wasn’t a fan of the style of the facility. I would’ve liked a fitness room but I totally understand that it’s about the nostalgia of the property.

Conveniently located in the middle of everything. It’s well maintained and has a storied history. A cool place to stay if you don’t mind an older building. Breakfasts are great. The only thing I would wish for is to have a refrigerator in the room. It’s so hot in summer and cold drinks are a necessity.

The location it was right in the middle of the strip in downtown Gatlinburg. The breakfast was really good. . The hotel is outdated. No fridge or microwave in the rooms. The door keys are actual key. Despite that we did have a good time and the hotel is very clean.

We had a great stay! Room was clean and staff was very helpful. They have a very nice breakfast included. And the rocking chairs on the front porch got used alot!

Would stay again. It is a little pricey, but worth it.
