Motel 6 Glenview, IL - Chicago North

There was a broken spring in the mattress that poke my leg. I did not smell bleach or detergent on the towels so I dont know how clean it was.

Booked this place for 1 night. When check- in time came, they said it's not ready so we had to wait for another hour and a half. When we got the room, the sink in the washroom was clogged, told the front desk if they could send someone, but no one came. That sink was clogged till the next morning.

So the hallways didn’t smell very good. I read this in other reviews and thought it wasn’t that bad but yes it was. Also the other doors to go out the key card didn’t work at all. It rained and the smell from outside came inside through the a/c unit. Other than that it was good. The beds were soft and comfortable. The water was hot and nice. The refrigerator kept cold. We only stayed 1 day. The price matched. Staff and other guess were friendly as well.

I booked a king size bed and when I got to the property they told me they don’t have any king size beds. They offered me a refund but it’s a holiday weekend so I was not in position to just go somewhere else. They told me they couldn’t give me the difference back. They do not have microwaves in the building and the ice machines were broken.

Anna and her staff were amazing. Great attitude and always helpful.

No amenities. There was a bar of soap. Less than I expected for Glenview but it was about the cheapest

This is the 4th time I have stayed here. The rooms are clean and they have been able to provide accessible rooms consistently.

I will not be going back there to stay.

This hotel is tucked into a lively, convenient neighborhood with plenty of nearby dining options. Our room is clean.

The room smelled like mold

The personnel were fine and pleasant. The room was okay and clean, but the AC made it quite cool (which you, of course, can regulate to your own preference). Also, I had a plugged drain in the shower, but I tracked down the maintenance personnel and they took care of that right away. The shower curtain is too long for the shower stall and will sit in the water while you are showering. The place is older and sufficient. Again, the personnel were helpful and pleasant. My plans included travel to Evanston, which was pretty easy.

This property definitely gets an A for renovations effort. You can tell they really tried to update everything and make this a great property. The downsides were the smells in the halls and room. It’s right off a freeway so lots of noise. It is super basic. I probably would not stay again but it was ok for one night.

Staff is good

Every morning I would request them to call the maid service, and they did. When I got back home the maid service cleaned my room, and had adequate towels for me to use for the next day.

I just had problems with the water pressure, but everything else was good.

The room smelled immediately as I walked in. Like literally a "dead rat," but I could deal with it. The sheets had stains on them, both the covers and bed sheets. I asked the front desk guy for new ones, and he gave me clean ones, so that was good. I threw the clean ones on top of the dirty ones and just had to sleep like that. It would honestly have still received a higher rating from me if not for that smell and dirty sheets because the actual room looked nice.

Nice simple room but without fridge or even microwave. There is an excellent Korean restaurant next door. Floors could be vacuumed a little more thoroughly. Front desk folks were very nice and my particular room on the second floor had a very nice open window view.
