Baymont by Wyndham Golden/Red Rocks

ZERO human interaction (not even a sorry for your loss) and just kept sending me automated check in details and then the follow up "how was your stay" afterwards. I'm all for automated systems to help speed things up but property owners and or managers need to check in every now and again with the human race to ensure all is well!

Clean room

Parking seemed a tad limited. Two surprises: - Bathroom had commode strangely and unnecessarily angled, and towel rod 5 inches above sink! - Breakfast was more basic than most discount hotels.

I liked that we were offered a 1st floor room as my mom would have had a hard time with stairs. The staff was very friendly and housekeeping was nice to help when needed and not bother us otherwise. We were visiting my oldest daughter in her first place and we were close to her.

Room was dirty. Hotel was in poor shape … did not feel safe or clean. No safe in room. Would not recommend.

Clean room with air conditioning

This was a great place to stay the night and a quick drive to downtown denver. Will continue to stay here when traveling to denver.

The room was misrepresented by the pics on the website. Outdated furniture, bathroom and A/C moldy, Room was not completely ready when we arrived and we arrived after check in time. King size bed was literally broke down on one side so you had to sleep in the middle or far other side so you didn’t roll into the huge dent. Parking lot / area did not seem secure and shared space with another hotel with a lot of odd activity - looked like an abandoned camper / RV sitting in a unkept / overgrown parking lot adjacent to the main lot. Do not recommend and will not stay there again.

The night manager was very friendly, helpful and hardworking. Unfortunately, our room had a broken phone and the doors to the pool and fitness room weren’t working right. We did enjoy the pool but it needed maintenance and we enjoyed the breakfast. Also, the hotel is represented as Golden and Red Rocks- even though it’s somewhat close it’s really a Lakewood hotel.

Bed are hard. Exposed wires in the bathroom. Bathroom sink wouldnt drain. Broken towel rack in bathroom

Helpful staff. Good breakfast for the cost.

Was very run down didn’t have a very good breakfast every was out of order!

No soap

We had to switch rooms as room 121 had a very dirty mattress. The flooring was coming up and it smelled like smoke. Room 206 was cleaner but still in rough shape. The couch had holes in the pillows. The shower didn’t drain and it was not very clean

This property is dated and looks nothing like the bright photos online. Old stained carpets, old loud heating and cooling units, paint chipping off the surfaces. Strange smell in the hallway. Low budget. It was clean. There was a sign posted at the front desk advertising a “shuttle” to the Red Rocks venue, we asked the woman at the front desk if others had reported having a good experience with the shuttle. She said yes. We called the number, paid $35 each only to be left stranded at Red Rocks and having to pay more for an Uber. Our overall experience with this hotel was disappointing.

Simple overnight type of hotel. Rooms were quiet, but be aware there is no elevator. Staff was nice, and offered additional time for the pool, but we ultimately decided we were too tired. Room was clean and air conditioning worked really well, although there were a few issues. The deadbolt wouldn't engage, likely the door needed to be adjusted. There was a deep scuff or melted mark on the bathroom counter. The beds were EXTRA firm. The power outlets were also pretty loose. Overall it was just okay.

Broken lock on door, sink and tub would not drain, toilet on the main floor across from the pool was not attached to the floor and it would not flush. Walls in the room and hall were dusty. Very limited breakfast options.

Breakfast was good.

Our room smelled like pickles. Strongly. The entire three days we were there. The bed was very hard pillows were old and breakfast was mostly out of order. The pool room was dirty and kind of gross and had no towels. There was a huge bag of trash that was in the corner by the stairs all night like housekeeping just gave up taking it out. The air conditioning worked pretty well though.
