Sonesta Simply Suites Denver West Federal Center

The police came my morning of check out due to a disturbance downstairs. That was the worst. There was hair in tub area, so I didn’t shower there.

The hotel was nice enough but I will admit there were a lot of “transient people” who were living there. But that didn’t bother me but might bother others.

We had some issues but the manager was very helpful.

The price was good for that part of metro Denver. It was clean, well maintained and safe. The kitchenettes were useful although some things had to be checked out from the front desk, like hair dryers and cookware. Has a laundromat onsite which we didn’t use but saw others using. Staff helpfulness and courtesy varied, but most were good. Would definitely stay there again if they maintain the quality and the price.

Our room was very clean and was very comfortable. The bathroom was larger than most hotels. Having the full sized refrigerator and access to additional kitchen appliances was greatly appreciated. The only thing we couldn't figure out and never asked about, was not having daily cleaning of the room, trash removal daily, nor fresh towels. For us it was no big deal, we went to the front desk to get what we needed and dropped trash in the trash bin.

Great find! Clean, big room. Nice bed. Friendly staff. The area felt safe.

Overall a good stay. A little outdated but no complaints.

Toilet was clogged , they came to fix it. Was clogged again so I think something is wrong with their plumbing, they never came to fix it. They made us wait 2 hours to “come fix it and bring towels to shower” they never showed up.

Loved the full kitchen area & getting restocked on supplies when needed. Laundry & work out room were a bonus for us too ! We utilized it all in our 4 night stay

The staff was GREAT! It's my understanding that the new manager Ashley will be upgrading the property. The air conditioner in the gym didn’t work, she said that would be replaced. I didn’t use the laundry room, but it looked like a full-size facility. The hotel is rundown, but it was clean. The bed was very comfortable, and it was nice having the full-size refrigerator stove top and microwave. The kitchen was well stocked. I walked a few times and felt safe in the area. I usually stay at the Hyatt House in Belmar but the price had gone up considerably. The Sonesta suites was about a third of the price, and for an eight night stay it was well worth it to me to have a little less luxury! I come to visit family two or three times a year and I will definitely stay here again. I did buy a Firestick as the TV only has Direct TV which isn't enough for me on a longer trip like this!

The hotel was not clean. The first room we checked into we had to leave and ask the front desk if they had a cleaner room, they put us in another room and the outcome was the same. The mattresses were stained, stained lamp shades and curtains. The floors and carpet had not been cleaned they were dirty and carpet was stained, the couch/bed was stained with white stuff, the furniture was falling apart and broken. The cooling system in the room was broken and taped together. No screens on the windows. The water was shut off all day on two separate occasions. Walls , doors, were dirty not cleaned. The dishwasher had a awful smell like fish tank. Nobody cleaned our room the whole time we were there. The laundry room was hot as hell, no working AC and only one luggage cart was available for the whole hotel. False advertisement- the "snacks and drinks" guest store was NOT as advertised, no snacks,no drinks just a few packs of cookies.Not even the rooms looked as advertised. I did not feel comfortable staying here and I was not happy with this particular Sonesta Simply Suites hotel. I checked out early due to these issues.

The hotel room was very nice. The neighborhood was great. The location convenient. But, the best part of the hotel was how accommodating the staff was especially Frank & Victoria. They went above and beyond helping to make our stay a wonderful experience.

Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here if you prefer a serviced apartment rather than a hotel.

Didn’t clean the room when you left for the day and when you asked for towels, they didn’t want to give you clean towels n wash clothes (but did). So I noticed everyone leaving their towels outside of rooms so we did. Then when I asked for towels again they wanted me to bring the dirty towels to the front desk. Then they left a note from Management by my door the next day saying don’t leave the towels outside in the hall n there will be a 25.00 charge for trash being left outside of the room I felt like I was supposed to be pleasing them. I would not stay there again if it was free

During my stay, the hotel charged my credit card three times with unauthorized transactions totaling 196 USD. I haven't received a refund yet—I've been waiting for two weeks. I have a very good impression of the hotel, but I will give it a high rating only after I receive my refund. I hope this happens soon. The hotel isn't responding to my emails.
