Elevator doesn’t work
-
I’m choosing to think that the room was just run down and not dirty. The elevator was broken so I got a room on the first floor. The windows opened only 1/2 inch so it was impossible to air it out. Breakfast was gross. There’s cereal though.

The staff was friendly, the rate was very economical. When we arrived the elevator wasn’t working, the front desk puts on the first floor close to the desk & laundry. It was a little noisy because of this. We had trouble with our room keys not working, had to change out several times. We never received room service, had to exchange our towels for clean ones at the front desk. Never took part in free breakfast or pool. We have stayed here in the past, not the same. Location is good for shopping and fast food franchises. We were there mostly to sleep and bath, my son lives in Grand Rapids so it wasn’t a big deal. The room was clean, bed was good but the shower wasn’t the hottest. They charged my room to my credit card even though I booked and paid through Expedia. They eventually retracted the charges. For the price it was okay

I feel badly not giving a nice review. But you guys could certainly make some improvements for almost $200 per night.

Staff was amazing
-
Dated and dirty and a big stain on the couch was unsettling. It was a place to sleep but it’s pretty obvious why the price is so cheap right now. Trying to get people back after bad reviews. Elevator was also broken
-
Pool clean Very nice stay.
-
The hotel grounds, public areas and rooms were super clean! The pool did not look clean. The hotel breakfast was pretty good, too.
-
Dirty underwear left in the room from previous people. Shower drain clogged.

Room 130am I had another person tried to enter into my room. The programed key they were given open the door. I had the security latch on so they could not enter. This was clearly a program at the desk in programming the key card. I exited in the am and the card given to me did not work when I returned. Had to have the desk reprogram the card. Room was clean, bed was comfortable.

The room was clean. Beds were comfortable. It was a good location for the venue I was attending and stores and restaurants. And it was right off the expressway. The pool was supposed to be heated it wasn't. There was clumps of grass in the pool. When I asked for pool towels for me and the others that was sharing the room. I was limited to how many. We had to share towels. But the worst was breakfast. The times for serving were great. But when attempting breakfast. It was what breakfast? There was barely, barely anything. Even a family of 7 attending and 5 were kids. There was nothing but some cereal for them to eat. Coffee was poor only 1 pot. No decaf. or hot water. Milk was spoiled or the container it was kept in was not washed. No waffles, no mix or maker plugged in. No eggs, sausage, or oatmeal. 2 plain bagels but no cream cheese. 4 pcs of white bread. There were only 3 biscuits and some nasty gravy. And lego my egos in a steam pan. Can you say soggy with no syrup. No juice. Just blank. I have never seen any breakfast like this before. Breakfast is 6-10:30 a.m. we went down at 9a.m. The hotel was not sold out either. I am a breakfast attendant for hotels. I wanted to cry at the disgrace for real. Had to go back to my room and door dash. Paying extra money I didn't have budgeted because it said breakfast included with my room rental.
-
Proximity to our business there Advertised breakfast at 6, went down at 7 and there was no food and coffee was from the day before.
-
The location The breakfast, what was left was almost gone by 8:30. The food was cold, no butter, no juice. There wasn't any employees there checking to see if you needed anything. The vending machines also didn't work.
-
We booked 2+ months in advance only to show up the night of our reservation to be told we were moved to another hotel 5 minutes away. Problem being we no longer got what we paid for. No hot breakfast. No indoor pool. Heck, we didn't even get our 2 queen beds... my daughters got stuck on a freaking pull out. Never been more disappointed. My girls were devastated on their cheerleading competition weekend.

Proximity to airport Breakfast wasn’t available in the morning.

The staff was excellent and very helpful This hotel is under renovation and isn’t fully operable. The room was nice but the beds were a little uncomfortable.

Bad
-
Nothing The whole motel was closed for Construction. Booking.com screwed up by letting us book and then forcing us to find a last minute substitution
-
I booked the motel and got a confirmation. I was going to be a late arrival after 11 pm. I got to the hotel and it was closed. There were large cardboard boxes everywhere and ladders all over the place and no cars. I had to find a hotel at almost midnight. I hope I don't get charged for my reservation at Country Inn.
