Holiday Inn Express Grand Rapids Airport North by IHG

I was given a room key upon check-in and walked into a room that was already occupied. This could have been a very bad situation

Staff was very attentive and cordial. Our room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was very good- many choices and very delicious. Would definitely stay here again!

We have stayed here a few times when coming to GR for events. It’s a nice location and has a great breakfast.

Parking was free, so that’s a plus. We booked a king with pullout bed, was originally put in king with a chair. Had to switch. Fine. We were put in a handicap accessible room, again, fine. But shower head was broken and had a rough time making it work since they didn’t have any maintenance available. Breakfast was decent and had hot food so that was nice. We did play a game called “see how long the garbage in the hallway would still be there”….it lasted 3 days and 2 night that we know of. Probably wouldn’t run to stay there again especially for the price and just ok. Closer to downtown is def worth a few more bucks.

Staff were very nice, but I probably won’t stay here again. While the room was clean, the bathroom had a very strong musty and bleachy odor that never really went away. I also requested a rollaway bed three times and was always told it was there or would arrive. It never did arrive, and I finally gave up. There was no soap in the shower and not enough toilet paper, but I was able to get those at the front desk. The airport shuttle was prompt. Parking was good, and there was a nearby Meijer you could walk to if you needed anything. Staff didn’t keep the ice water in the lobby filled. Our upstairs neighbors were pretty noisy. Overall, because of the friendliness of the staff, I would rate this hotel slightly above average, but with the abundance of hotels in the area, I wouldn’t stay at this one again.

We love Holiday Inn Express and this one did not disappoint! Clean, friendly and the best hotel breakfast (love those cinnamon rolls)! And the best part is a perfect night’s sleep on those famous IHG beds. Ahhh!

Professional staff and location is convenient. Walkable distance to the Ferry Terminal.
