Red Roof Inn Grand Rapids Airport

The pictures posted online for this hotel do not remotely capture the filth within-I was traveling with my daughter and immediately walked out with her without dropping our bags for fear of what was below on the carpet. Worst hotel experience to date & I am 52 years old and reasonably well traveled.

I didnt even stay at the hotel because of how dirty and disgusting it was.

Will never stay here again and will think twice ever staying at any Red Roof Inn. We got to check in and went to the room we were assigned but we didn’t need the key card to even get in. The lock on door was broken. We told the attendant in the office that we had dinner reservations so would be back later in the evening to get a new room. He told us he’d be there until 1am. When we came back later, at first the attendant wasn’t sure who we were (although it was the same person). I explained what had happened earlier and then he remembered us. He got a key card and left to check the room that was originally assigned to us to find out if the door lock got fixed. When he came back he said it was fixed but the manager would need to reprogram the key card. So he had to leave and check another room for us. It took him almost ten minutes to come back and let us know that he had to change the sheets in the new room…that should have clued us in to how bad the room would be. It’s just a good thing our room had two beds since one had a stain on the bottom sheet. If we hadn’t been so tired we would’ve left. In morning, we found more problems: no hot water, no hand towels or wash cloths, dirty wall in bathroom, dirty counters and night stand tables, kicked hole in door, base not attached in bathroom, missing smoke alarm, dirty floor, and stains on lamp shade to name a few…

I was in room 139. The room was okay clean wise.... until I walked into the bathroom. It has black mold on the ceiling. Only reason I had to stay because I was on a budget and arrived too late to find another place.

Only gave 1 star because I could not give ZERO. This place was disgusting!

Not staying there again.

Nothing Room stunk dog hair on the rug, could see outside around the door only one towel but taking a shower was the best part of the room

Its close to food and stores and gas station however they aem

The bed was broken. The water would not shut off in the shower. They had ashtray on the wall right outside my door. I also asked for a handicap room and they put me on the second floor floor anyway

There were shops

I have used this property in the past but now I cannot seem to locate a booking option for it on booking.com

I was there for about 5 minutes before I asked for a refund as the place was so discusting filthy smelled of puke NEVER would I recommend this to my worst enemy Everything

NOTHING I LIKED LEAVING AND NOT EVEN STAYING Unclean, filthy, moldy, microwave was full of moldy coffee, stains on walls, floors, sheets, bed, bedding, everywhere. Smell was atrocious.

At the parking lot a fight when we arrive at the property. The room was not clean smell so bad.

Pet friendly Wifi was crappy too far from router to get connected

The outside is nasty firstly, I go in the office and it smelled horrible. So horrible 1st impression, but we were already wayyyy behind schedule and had to get ready so it was out of my hands at that moment. I get the key our room was on the 2nd floor. Get to our room and there are dirty underwear laying by the door, the room wasn't much bettter. I mean yes I get it, it was a 70 dollar room, I didn't expect much but I expected a little more than this! We aren't from grand rapids and it was 12 minutes away from the venue where our show was. So I'm thinking I found me a good deal. I was wrong we did not stay due to finding a roach in our room. The thing I found odd was the fact that the front desk clerk didn't even batttt an eye to the fact that there was a roache in the room and just gave me a refund. Although I haven't received it yet, but I'll give it a couple days as this was just last night. So I expect it to take a couple days. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The close proximity to where I would be spending most of the weekend. It wasn’t clean, we didn’t have the necessary items that are normally present in a room before your arrival. The people in the room next to us were fighting physically & verbally & it was very disturbing.

Room was not up to code. Fire alarm was not up just wires hanging out of wall. Beds disnt fit frame bed skirt was hiding metal hooks hold box spring in place. So when i sat on side bedvwent to get up. I cut my leg. Shower was not cleaned properly. Was there for appointment in town. No alarm clock or coffeepot. Cockroaches. I was so unhappy as i stayed there couple years back. It was nothing like it was then. So run down. Couldnt find another place in town everything booked up. Alot of activity looked wrong. Was worried with my child with me. Ill never go back .

Hookers all around. Ridiculous
