Residence Inn By Marriott Grand Rapids West

Room had a damaged lamp (electrical hazard) and wrinkled up carpet. Lighting was really dim even with all lamps on, esp in the kitchen. Microwave turntable didn’t turn. So maintenance and upkeep could be better. But the bed was comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good (eggs and hot meat always available as well other foods). Had a huge heat wave, so didn’t use the pool deck much because of heat/sun concerns. But lots of families were using it, as well as the grill-out area. Excellent location for getting out to regional bike trails.

N/A The hotel cancelled my room without notice. I received no communication until I showed up to check in. There was bugs in the rooms and the pool was so nasty that all of my family ended up getting sick.

The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was a good verity. the only down side was we had issues with our bathroom door. the staff was right on it. However we were locked out of the bathroom in the middle of the night. So we had to use the lobby bathroom. I thought they might offer a discount of some kind on our room but they didn't

Everything was just great and good location

Location was close to a lot. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean. I know we were in Michigan but the smell of weed 24/7 was a little irritating.

Good location Old facility, poor cleaning of common areas, like guests washroom downstairs, lifts etc

We had a invasion of ants in our room.

The room was adequately sized, and the breakfast was enjoyable. The room was not serviced during our stay, and it felt cramped because it contained too much furniture.

Bed and pillows were very comfy. Breakfast was good for what was offered. Yummy waffles. Every thing was being refreshed as it was being used. Parking lot has been fixed since last time staying there. Lady at check in was very nice and helpful too! Clean but showing wear and tear.

The night staff was very helpful, internet was down and she did what she could as far as checking us in but the following morning the staff started calling our room at 7:45 a.m to check us in for the following night. We had been up the night before due to a medical issue in our family, and felt the phone call could’ve waited until later? They then called us back at 8:45 and I asked them, “Do you really need to call this early?” and she completely ignored my comment. The hotel itself needs some updates, the room was clean, the bed was pretty hard though, the breakfast was great. The hotel is close to mall, restaurants…which is nice!

Good breakfast-helpful staff Thirtd time Ive stayed with you. Toilets back up each and every time. You severly need to upgrade your plumbing system

We could have our digs with us Trash wasn't cleaned from the room, carpet looked like waves and needed to be replaced.

The room was clean and just as pictured. Staff was nice, check in was easy and the breakfast was nice with good options! Great stay for a first time. I will book again

The suite we had the walls were dirty, the bathroom towel rack kept falling off had holes in the wall. The mirror was broken. Not enough towels in the room. The Bathtub was dirty. The breakfast was ok, my family doesn’t eat pork and the meat that had was pork. The best part of the hotel was the basketball court for the kids.

Started screaming at us and say bad words he then fill a bag of food and five it to some that would come no wonder he didn't want Noone take food

The location was perfect for our plans. Nothing

Our room was in very much need of repair. It was rated a very good and I would give it a fair rating. The entry door was all dented and scratched, the ceiling had some bad repaired, the carpet was worn completely through, one toilet did not flush, the shower surround was broken in a large place, the outlets did not work so we couldn’t charge our phones, the furniture was spiked. The exit lighting at the end of the building did not even have a bulb in it, so that was a safety issue. The room smelled “lived in”.

My stay went well with no issues or complaints. The staff was very professional, helpful and reassuring. I would definitely stay here again.
