Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Chicago Southeast/Hammond

The hotel is in a safe area (my biggest concern), the staff was very helpful during checkin, and the hotel is clean. Very quiet despite being off the expressway! Would recommend and stay here again!

Pool is too small, bathroom wasn’t clean from the first day, staff needs to be more patient and professional with the customers

Stayed at the same location 2 weeks before and the ice machine on 2nd floor was still not working. Also the room signage when you get off the elevator was unreadable (3rd floor).

I really appreciated the remodeling that they have done at this motel. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff was very courteous. The rooms could use better ventilation, but they were clean and the beds were great.

This is one of the smaller Marriott hotels with a small lobby, small business center and our room was smaller than I normally book. But the hotel was very clean and comfortable. I also made the mistake of getting a room across from the elevator. It was pretty noisy early in the morning as people were leaving and workers were arriving to clean rooms (it was 7am). The breakfast was good and they do have coffee 24 hrs, which my husband loved. All things considered, we would definitely stay there again - but not by the elevator.

This hotel has very mixed reviews, location was good-right off the interstate. The main hallways, elevator, and lobby floor all need a deep clean. The room was okay, there was a layer of dust on tables and soap scum build up in the bathtub. The carpet wasn’t the cleanest either. The bed is hard. It was okay for a quick stop one night, but wouldn’t want to stay there longer than that.

Right next to the highway not far from a lot of affordable food options.

Dirty bathroom, requested an ADA and was told I could not be accommodated. WiFi did not work my entire stay as well

The front desk staff at this property was very rude and not accommodating with any issues that happened at the hotel. When requesting management they refuse to contact. On my last day, I was able to reach management and they try to accommodate some of the issues that we had. But definitely staff need to go through training to improve customer service. I will not pick this location again.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. However, the TVs aren't set up to where you can hook up your video game console onto it. My console wouldn't even connect to the wifi.The front desk didn't seem to care enough to put effort into figuring it out either and had to buy a portable monitor so my son and I can play. If you're a gamer and/or have kids who are into video games, dint stay here. Otherwise, it's fine.

Room had toothpaste splattered on the mirror, someone’s hair all over the floor in the bathroom, huge stains on the walls, used tissue in the toilet. I tried to flush it and the toilet didn’t seem to want to flush I tried3 times and it finally went down and the phone in the room had some sort of grease all over it and was never cleaned. Very disgusting!! Also it was right by the expressway and traffic was down to one lane due to construction and there was a very loud constant banging noise every time a vehicle passed. I talked to the front desk and they were very rude and said that everyone knows that it’s close to the expressway and refused to refund me. I had been at a family member’s home and had dog fur on my shirt and was being what felt like interrogated by the woman at the front desk telling me I don’t have a pet with me right and all kinds of accusations. Won’t be coming back ever!!! I went to the next town over and that place was very nice even if I had to pay a little more it was worth it. FAIRFIELD IS TRASH!!!

The suite. It was spacious. There was a lot of kids this weekend and all they were doing was running through the halls. So it was loud

When we got to the room we couldn’t use the TV. I had to throw away my food because the fridge stop working it was hot inside the fridge. so I didn’t think the food from Kentucky fried chicken was safer to eat. and the juices safe to drink after it was so warm in the fridge. I requested a late check the lady at the front desk said she could honor it. Until 1 pm, But I arrive back at about 12:15 and could not get in the room where all my things. I didn’t have a microwave in the room that was very inconveniently. on Saturday morning there was not enough breakfast cook for the many people staying there. you gotta do better.
