I like the close proximity to everything from bars, restaurants, and the beach. I like that they don’t allow LA residents to stay here which is why you don’t see a lot of sketchy people here like you do at other hostels in LA. I like the water pressure from our shower in our room. I also like the community engagement and social events hosted by the staff. The only thing I disliked from this hostel is waking up in the morning with my shirt drenched in sweat. There’s no fans and proper air ventilation in the bedrooms especially in this summer heat.

I was a bit worried about staying in a hostel, but didn't need to worry as the staff were excellent, the location stunning, view amazing and all in all had a great stay.

We had a private room with bath that had beautiful ocean views from two windows and a nice breeze...beware though there is no ac or even a fan and when it gets really noisy on the weekend, if you shut the windows it is a hot box. And it is really really noisy there - not just the music but dumpsters and street sweepers and really loud partying folks at all hours. The "hostel" idea is better for younger folks, but the kitchen is very very small and almost impossible to use at meal times. The staff was a bit helpful but they seemed overwhelmed and defensive when I asked for a fan. If budget is your only consideration then ok. Also, I wish they would clean the stair railing it was quite sticky! The breakfast was entirely unsuitable for any healthy eater and being vegan there was nothing suitable. Without a car it's a long way to a market and the refrigerator was jammed full. Strangely, when we checked in we were told "absolute no food in your room" but when we got to the room there was a refrigerator in it! hmmmm.... oh well, we tried, but risk this place if you really have nowhere else to go. and there are a lot of stairs with no elevator so it is not ADA suitable.

Staff is excellent, place was clean, convenient, and a great price. However, someone desperately needs to advertise the fact that there is no AC. This honestly made it a rough rough sleep for me and I would not go back. If you’re into that great, but it REALLY needs to be clearer that there is no air conditioning.

Location I needed a fan. Although the ambient temps were great. No breeze ...

On beach. Good vibes. Nice people. It’s loud because there are restaurants and bars below, but I knew that going in, so that was fine. However, my windows didn’t shut, but that might’ve been specific to my room.

Great place . Right next to the beach . I witnessed the staff constantly clean around the clock they were all so kind and lovely would stay here again . For the most part the people I met were kind , an elderly couple that was so nice to me , guy from wales who was backpacking down the west coast and a musician. Magical stay I would recommend.

Was at an event that was literally started ar the door step . The location allowed me to get the necessary rest to finish my race and still have energy to enjoy the day thank you . See you next year
