Wingate by Wyndham High Point/Greensboro/Airport South

This place is gold coated over plastic. They are trying to make it look nice with renovations, but things are just sufficient at best. The renovations are poorly done. They seem DIY. For example, the room has new paint, but if you look closely, it’s sloppy. Also, the edging is horrible and shows the old paint. Our door had been repainted and must have been removed because it didn’t line up correctly. A 3/4 inch gap existed from the knob down. We had to put an ironing board in front of it because you could see into our room if you looked through the crack! We could see outside into the hallway easily! No privacy! We loved that there was LVP flooring instead of carpet. However, there were places that were bouncy. One bed had clean sheets, but the other had hairs and eyelashes on it. I don’t really want to write this review because maybe they are trying hard to fix up this place, and I hate to mess with someone’s dream. However, I wouldn’t stay there again. Another issue was the parking. There were ZERO parking spaces at the hotel both days. We had to park at a nearby restaurant the first night and could have been towed. The 2nd night, we started to park there again but saw an SUV over by the trees. A man got out and went down into the woods. It was shady, and I debated calling the police. I was afraid someone might hurt our car though. We ended up parking on the roadside with 4 other cars also there for the hotel.

In major need of updates. The toilet and shower were filthy. Dead bug on floor. Stained sheets.

Weekend stay, frequently in & out. Place was calm, clean, safe, w standard breakfast- I enjoyed the pancakes eggs & yogurt Room was decent, good shower, though they could use an update- Didn’t try pool, rather small, guests seemed to take turns-smart Can’t complain, price was right. Would recommend.

the free breakfast was decent. king size bed was the worst I've ever tried to sleep on their t.v. system was the worst I've ever tried to use. the t.v. would not turn off. the remote didn't work properly. the shower had to run 20 minutes before u got any hot water. no room service after 7 pm.

Not impressed with the environment, and rooms are smelling smoke from cigarettes.

The place was clean and staff helpful. Its being updated which will make it a nicer place. Overall I would stay again but prefer something more updated.

The bed was comfy, and the room itself was decent and clean. Staff was friendly. The hotel was absolutely filthy in parts other than the room. The breakfast was not good. Eggs were watery, sausage was rubbery, coffee tasted burned.

Rm 318 had cockroaches. The ceilings were discolored and showed signs of water damage. The interior had not been changed since the 1980's and looked the worse for wear. The only good thing was that I could get Wi-Fi effortlessly. The elevator was filthy and janky. The air conditioner was so loud sleep was impossible. I would have been better off sleeping in my car. I left at 4:30 in the morning in disbelief. Nobody at the front desk.

Good location. Did not have to drive for good eats. Walking distance. Dollar General and Walmart only a few minutes by car. Coming back for sure!

The initial room we were assigned had dead bugs in the windowsill. The property is old and needs updates. There were no electronic plug-ins anywhere. The breakfast was not good and the coffee was terrible. Try another brand for us coffee lovers! The staff was pleasant enough and they did give us another room.

Clean and convenient. Fireplace in the room was a nice touch even though we didn’t use it since it’s summer. Whirlpool tub doesn’t work but we didn’t rent the room because of it so it didn’t matter. Will definitely stay again.
