Hollywood Hotel Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port

This is definitely not Best Western Plus quality that I am use to. Will not return.

It was close to the places I wanted to go that’s about it.

We stayed here one night before our cruise. Overall the hotel was great other than the price. Too expensive!

Bathrooms were full of hair. Hotel in obvious and unbelievable disrepair. Bed linens were damp. Zero promised amenities, because the pool was closed, no extra linens, no roll away beds. Staff tried really, really hard, but they were up against a lot. Would never recommend. Never.

Staff was meh. Could be more customer friendly. Elevator was freaking out; wasn’t going to my floor (3rd).

On the first morning of my stay, I noticed that the desk beneath the TV was covered with small insects. I cleaned the desk myself and requested that my room be cleaned while I was out. When I returned later that day, I found that the room had not been cleaned, so I made a second request. After returning for the second time, I was disappointed to discover that the only housekeeping task completed was removing the trash. None of the other cleaning had been done, and the insects had returned to the desk. I went to the front desk and requested a room change, which the staff member promptly accommodated by moving me from Room 319 to Room 318. Unfortunately, the new room presented a different set of problems. It was missing two pieces of furniture that had been in my original room, the window shades were broken so I couldn't open the blinds, and one of the bathroom lights did not work. Between the lack of cleanliness, recurring insect problem, and poor condition of the replacement room, this was one of the worst hotel stays I've experienced. I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance, and I would not recommend staying here based on my experience.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly; check-in was also very fast.

The room is in overall horrible shape. Pain chipping, and, busted up edges, and smelled like cleaning products... absolutely overwhelmingly smell. The bathroom is in pretty bad shape as well. Shower has very low water pressure, and the shower head has one setting only. Though no bed bugs, I was pretty worried about that.... thankfully none. Lots of traffic noise... LOTS! Air conditioner rattled all night, very loud racket.

Staff was great. Property conditions had areas where upgrades were started...

The staff were friendly and helpful the shuttle was prompt and on time. Great stay n experience.
