Coconut Waikiki Hotel

Location is excellent. Staff very nice and welcoming, not to mention helpful. Nice balcony and supplies in the room. This is our third stay and we will definitely stay again. Short walk to beautiful Waikiki beach, lots of restaurants close by. Good value. Bathroom could use some shelves, pillows were hard for me but perhaps not for others. Curtains didn't quite reach across the window. If you don't expect 5* perfection nothing you can't live with.

There was an initial wait for us to be placed in an available room and to compensate for our patience, they were able to place us in a penthouse floor unit equipped with a kitchenette! We also liked that there was a ware dispenser machine in the lobby, plus a popcorn machine and gratis fresh brewed coffee and hot water for tea in the mornings. There was also laundry facilities available. We used the outdoor pool, but we didn’t like the configuration of the pool. There were only small narrow ladder steps to climb in and out and there wasn’t a clear shallow area before it turned deep.

I’ve stayed at the Coconut Waikiki before and had a good experience, the staff is lovely and very helpful but this building needs some serious work, it’s giving run down, the key cards always stop working forcing you to have to take the very slow elevator back and forth various times to open your room door. It’s a budget stay. This place needs a face lift, not just fresh paint.

Very outdated hotel, very old, room was very small and not in the best condition, we even had a ripped curtains. Balcony was very scary. One day we had no light and had to walk to 10th floor and than stay without light, the next day we had no hot water. Not much amenities. Overall very disappointed with this hotel

Good location and close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Hotel needs updating and renovations.

Lovely hotel in a clean quiet area just two blocks back from the main strip overlooking the Canal. There are Lots of food and travel options close by. It was very easy to get into Honolulu and out to Diamond head and beyond using the bus. The bed was big and comfortable. It’s not the most modern or luxurious but it had everything you need in toiletries, tea & Coffee in the room and it is very clean. The room had a mini kitchen equipped with a kettle, microwave, fridge and breakfast bar for snacks and drinks in the room if you want. The lifts are reliable and there is coffee/tea and hurricane popcorn available in the foyer. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. It has a laid back vibe and was a great price. There is a small gym/fitness suite and laundry available, great amenities. I would definitely stay here again. Nothing we didn’t like at all but the pool is very small only about 20x10ft but I still managed to get some exercise when I used it.

Very helpful & friendly staff

Staff were excellent and so welcoming. Room was great. The only thing I would change is replace sliding doors with double glazing. Sliding doors were old and didn't quite close properly.

Best pet friendly property , you drive up they take ur car you walk in everyone is friendly! Ac worked well especially during the humid hurricane weather

Good

Great staff, nice to have coffee available all day and popcorn snack in afternoon. Small kitchenette with plates/cutlery really useful for having light breakfast and heating leftovers. Nice to have beach towels/chairs/umbrellas to borrow. Though Mountain View is a nice view, it was extremely noisy all night, even with earplugs, so our sleep wasn’t the greatest. Because of all the other positives we might try again and ask for a quietest room and see if that is better.

Good hotel, sweet staff, good location!

Clean room and convenient location. Walking distance to the beach and shopping area. The staff are all nice and helpful. We stayed 4 nights there and enjoyed time there.

Wonderful Location and excellent value for money. The mountain view room is worth every penny with panoramic skyline and mountain views. The hotel staff is nice and courteous. The amenities are pretty basic but when you are in Waikiki, you don't need many amenities since you aren't in the hotel much The valet prices could have been cheaper.
