Waikiki Malia

Good base location for first-time visitors exploring central Waikiki. Convenient transit access with a bus stop and a Biki bike-share station right outside the hotel. * Rooms and balconies are significantly smaller than the photos suggest. No ocean view rooms. * The windows directly face a busy street with active traffic, resulting in constant noise. * The street outside is also heavily wind-swept compared to just one block closer to the ocean. Unhelpful staff: * Customer service was rigid and scripted. When we needed boiling water or a kettle to prepare food for our child, staff simply stated all were in use and told us to wait without offering alternatives. * When asking for places to visit or local dining recommendations, they only pointed us to the McDonald’s next door. * Rooms are cleaned every other day. Despite explicitly requesting morning service to accommodate our child's afternoon nap, the housekeeper repeatedly arrived during naptime. He was dismissive, complained about his shift ending at 4:00 PM, and forced us to wake our child to wait on the tiny balcony while he cleaned.

Room was clean & efficient. No coffee pot or microwave in room, had to go to different floors for access.

One block from the center of Waikiki easy check in and out and Great parking rates for kamaaina!

Breakfast was good,the free ice cream was very nice and overall experience was exceptional with friendly staffs No tea/coffee supplies in guest rooms and no mugs or water glasses in the room

Clean modern rooms , tv has all you need , no like other hotel with pointless tvs , friendly staff, clean bathrooms

Pros are its near shops and restaurants about as good as any in the city. cons would be, its just an average hotel room and if you have a rental car, you will have to pay $45 per night to park. $50 per night fee also. would be nice if that was just built in to the price so you don’t feel gouged. I wouldn’t stay there again.

The IHOP was right next-door connected to the hotel that was a reasonable place to have breakfast

Constant sound running water, old bathroom the was poorly cleaned. Unclean beds with wet pillows and bedding on one of our beds
