Hotel La Croix

Fantastic location, amazing staff

Booked La Croix hotel based on the positive Expedia reviews but was sadly disappointed with the cleanliness of the property. After checking in a littler after 9 pm HST, we went up to our room to find that the fitted sheet on our bed had what looked to be an old blood or ketchup stain. In addition to this, there was no remote control for the tv. Coming off a 5+ hour flight, the last thing we wanted or expected was stained sheets and no remote control. So I went down to the lobby (no phone in the room to call reception) to ask the receptionist if we could please move to another room due to the circumstances. She didn't even try looking into the system to see if there was another room available and just offered a clean fitted sheet that we would need to change ourselves. The lack of effort to even accommodate a room change given the situation was not what I was expecting. In addition to this, the person in line in front of me was expressing her frustration with the room not appearing like the photos on the website. This was an issue in my room as well with calcium deposits around the bathroom sink. What really made this stay one of the worst was getting an email from staff saying they were unable to locate the stain on the sheets insinuating that i was lying about the situation? You have so many options in Waikiki, do yourself a favor and don't stay here. Did not get the 'Aloha' spirit/vibes.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. That staff was 20/10 showing tons of hospitality, kindness and were informative about the local spots and eateries around the area. I personally want to thank Vince and Janice for how well they organized everything for me and my stay here. Enhanced my overall experience of hawaii

Room and bathroom were dirty even after the daily “maintenance cleaning”. The hotel is hot and humid and instead of cleaning things they just paint over them. Hidden fees everywhere and they charge for any little thing. The valet people and the bell hops were extremely nice. The front desk people were okay not very friendly. The pictures online are not what the hotel actually looks like.

This place is perfect located, super convenient, everything is walkable and accessible. The only thing is that they do not keep the rooms fresh and clean. Overall was ok.

Exceptional

Nice big room. Has kitchen, but no cooking tool. The swimming pool is small, but closed enough to walk to the beach.

La Croix was an affordable options for my stay in Waikiki. The staff were great. The kitchenette was convenient. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. Some areas of Waikiki can be loud. I would recommend La Croix.

Fantastic Location: You truly cannot beat this spot. It’s an easy, short walk to the vibrant Waikiki Beach, or you can head just across the street to the much calmer and less crowded Fort DeRussy Beach. Great Food Options Nearby: Skip the notoriously overpriced Waikiki restaurants—there are fantastic food truck parks just a few minutes' walk away offering delicious, reasonably priced meals. Helpful Conveniences: The staff are genuinely friendly, and having an ABC Store right downstairs is a massive lifesaver for grabbing quick snacks, fresh fruits, drinks, and daily essentials. The Room & Noise: Poolside Noise: Our main drawback was our room location. Being right next to the pool meant we could hear kids screaming and splashing for most of the time we were trying to relax in the room. Thankfully, we spent most of our days out exploring the rest of Oahu, so we weren't cooped up for long stretches. A Note on Resort Fees & Activities: Lei Making Waitlist: We paid the resort fee and hardly use the pool. The only thing we did was signed up for the hotel-organized lei-making activity, we unfortunately ended up on the waitlist. On our last day with no major activities planned before heading to the airport, it would have been a wonderful touch if the hotel could have provided a couple of leis for our girls to take with them. Overall, it's a solid, convenient base for exploring Waikiki if you plan to spend most of your time out and about!

Price. TV didn’t work. Shower leaked. The carpet was dirty and brown. Room smelled of mildew.
