Luana Waikiki Hotel & Suites

This place is always welcoming and nice.

Stay was great amenities were good rooms seem a bit outdated but very comfortable. Short walk to the park short walk to the beach perfect location. Restaurants weren’t too far. I was able to find street parking every night by myself. $50 a night. All in all, I would stay there again for my family

Our room was great. We had an absolutely beautiful view from our balcony. The room was very clean and had all the amenities we required. The kitchen was a nice surprise. We made good use of the pool. It was wonderful not to be completely surrounded by other hotels which added to the beauty of the view.

Location was wonderful and price was right!

The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are older but well maintained and all the amenities such as the fridge, toaster oven, balcony, wine tasting, beach chairs, and more make it a great deal. This is our fifth trip here and we come back based on price, location, and combined features.

Very dated, worn furniture. Air conditioner unit did not work well in the bedroom. The entire room needs to be refurbished. Very loud partying on the patio below our room that woke me up at 1:30 and looking outside another window was a homeless guy living on the side of the building. Also, our patio overlooked a construction site. I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone.

This is our second time staying at the Luana Waikiki hotel. The kitchenette is very helpful and makes things easier for us to save money and prepare/eat meals. We enjoyed eating our meals out on the balcony — our favorite place with an ocean view (14th floor). The staff were so friendly and helpful. The only reason I gave four stars is because we were surprised by the way our fitted sheet for our bed — it didn’t cover to the full wraparound. As a result, our fitted sheet would shrink and expose the mattress pad which had some soiled spots. Unpleasant to see. We told housekeeping but due to their three day cleanup rule, we already checked out on the fourth day. That’s the only disappointment we experienced.

Staff was nice, room M100 was not dirty but very dusty. Clothes dyer door did not close and didn’t dry well. Couch was full of dirt in between. Fee for amenities was absolutely exaggerated considering they never actually cleaned the room and basically the $591.00 was for coffee and pool use. $52 dollars a night on valet is crazy. Expedia charged a resort fee and on top had to pay more at the hotel. Would I recommend maybe not but during my stay found out al hotels in the area charge about the same.

The location of this property is excellent. Short walk to the beach and close to shopping and restaurants. Staff is super friendly. Easy in and out with valet parking. Dated furniture in rooms, but overall a good place to stay.

Cockroach in room it was on the built in closet door where my shoes & clothes were stored. This was on our 4th & final night as we were packing to leave. It was quite a shock to me. I took a picture, killed it & called the front desk to request they send up staff to remove it. Front desk asked several questions, did I leave the lanai open, did I pay for resort fees. I was told the hotel is sprayed regularly & these huge cockroachs can fly in if the lanai is opened. A security person was sent to our room.she wanted to flush it. I requested it be taken out of the room. The security person kept insisting to flush it. I finally had be raise my voice & say no take it & flush it elsewhere. We were not offered another room or offered to be moved to another hotel. I was told that maybe the resort fees could be removed & the rooms are sprayed daily. I wondered how that could be since at check in, since we were only staying 4 nights that house keeping would not come to our rooms how ever we could request more towels if needed.I asked for the manager but she would arrive at 6 am. In the morning I learned The security person said our lanai was iipen when she arrived. This was false. Gina the front desk manager was I nly able to adj off the resort fees & she needed to talk to upper management. This issue would carry on after I returned home. No other adjustments where made. Also Gina said 99% of other guests that this happened to to happy with only the resort fee adjustment

I liked that they did have a beer/wine/cheese hour and let our family use the facilities even after check out. The staff could be a little more friendly and helpful instead of making guests feel like they are bothering them.

We stayed there 7 night everything was great but next time the has construction 🚧 going in so not happy with that.
