Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head

What I love about this place is its intimate size—only 50 rooms total. That smaller scale means every corner is beautifully maintained, and it never feels crowded or impersonal like some of the bigger resorts nearby. The staff genuinely make you feel at home, from the front desk team who greet you by name, to the maintenance crew keeping everything running smoothly, to housekeeping who take real care with the rooms. You can tell everyone here takes pride in the property. Between the attentive service and the peaceful, boutique feel, this has quickly become one of my favorite places to stay in Hawaii. I'll definitely be back.

Awesome stay

Quiet hotel at the very far end of Waikiki beach. 2 minute stroll to sandy beach, A+ resturant in house.

The whole unit was wonderful, especially the master suite. The views from our balcony were 360 degrees, from Diamond Head to Honolulu and were unbeatable and the spaciousness of the unit, the fact that it was self-contained and we were able to cater for ourselves, was great. You didn't really need to go out. Just sitting on the balcony was experience enough. It is not in the centre of Honolulu, but the children walked into the city centre after dinner for Shave Ice, so close enough, and it is a nice quiet neighbourhood. Loved the Monk seals (and baby seal) on the beach. The pictures show the views from our balcony. The air-conditioning, while working, was struggling to cool the place. It needs to be replaced. For the amount of room in the unit, the master bedroom taking up a great deal, it could have been better designed so that our grown-up family did not have to share two queen beds in one room, but we were aware that they would be doing this before we booked.

The room was amazing with great views of Diamond Head and a glimpse of the ocean. Staff did a great job and were very attentive, with free beach chairs and towels being a HUGE plus. The park across the street was also very nice for early morning walks. Only negatives would be that the beach access was not quite what we were expecting (limited and not super clean feeling) and the cost for parking was much higher than necessary. Be sure to factor the parking costs and resort fees into your choice of lodging since that was not a part of the Expedia booking price.

What was very nice was an excellent restaurant(Arden's) on the 2nd level. Staff did not rush us at all and a quiet ambient environment off the beaten path and bustling of Kalakaua & Waikiki. We stumbled on Arden's when the maître d' offered to take our picture in the lobby. She invited us upstairs and we were blessed with a waiter/server(Jeff) extraordinaire. And the rest is history. A hidden jem of a restaurant steps from our room after a wonderful day of fresh air and Hawaiian sun! Thank you!

Hotel is in a great location, right near the beach and a short walk into Waikiki. The room was spacious, great view, lots of light, clean. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Nothing.

I love staying at the Lotus. It’s been a few years and the upgrades are lovely. Nice gym with new equipment, massages and more. And the staff is always great!

The ocean view was great we were on a higher floor so we were able to view Diamondhead and the ocean.

Great position near to the main hub of Waikiki but far enough away to make it a quiet relaxing area

Clean. Friendly staff. Good location. Free laundry. DIL likes the coffee van outside. The air conditioner did not work the first night. Slept with doors open on third floor. Wish we were higher in the building and next to the other room that I reserved.

Highlights - Great location, friendly staff, easy parking.

Staff all very kings and friendly. The restaurant was overpriced. There needs to be a breakfast and bar area.

We stayed in room 624, slightly older style. This room had a partial ocean view, but the mountain view was actually more impressive. The bathroom was nice and big and clean. The bed was comfortable and the white sheets were very clean. Loved having coffee and a fridge as well. Restaurant was phenomenal as well. The only thing was the price, I wish it would have been a little bit cheaper. For 1 night is was fine, but if we wanted to come back for more days, might not be as affordable.
