The room was clean but had an odor just as you walked in room. Every staff we communicated with was very helpful and friendly.

We stayed a week. The staff were very friendly throughout. Front desk, Bell, Housekeeping, never an issue. Room (122) has an excellent ocean view. Aside from that it's akin to a standard room at any 3 star hotel. Peeling wallpaper in the bathroom was well below the nightly rate value and easily fixed. Need to do better here... Further, the refrigerator is in the bathroom (anyone ever heard of that before?) and no microwave so you esentially have to buy overpriced restaurants or ABC store products. Even cheapo hotels have these basic amenities. Massive construction we didn't know about pre arrival, however, even with a first floor room and open balcony it was only occasionally a noise issue. No dust, no hazards, just a funky lobby. No harm no foul for us. Resort fees. Essentially, fees charged just because we'll pay them. You get nothing extra for them except the bill. Add in a few nights of rental car parking, our add on fees were $666 bucks. Wi-Fi, is not an extra in 2026, the pool is small for the location, and literally nothing extra. Not food, no laundry, no parking (except 60/night), no towel animals (aka Disney style). If there were a value, I'd be fine, but, there isn't. It's a massive tax for them being kind enough to allow you to stay with them. We stayed outrigger reef in 2009 honeymoon and it had none of these extra tag ons. Outrigger isn't unique here but it's not a way to treat loyal customers.

Excellent location right on the beach! Staff is excellent too! Hotel is being renovated so hopefully that includes updating the rooms too. Food and service at Hula Grill Waikiki in the hotel was the best!!

Great time. Great place. Great stay!

Incredible view

The property was dirty throughout. The old carpet, both in the common areas and in our room, was stained, worn out, and in desperate need of replacement. The bathroom was outdated and had visible mold. The sofa was so dirty and worn that I covered it with towels before sitting on it because I didn't feel comfortable using it as-is. The resort was also under construction, which was never communicated to us beforehand. The sliding glass door was covered with dirt and grime, indicating it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. Nearly all of the furniture appeared to be 20–30 years old and badly in need of updating. To make matters worse, there was a strong, unpleasant odor throughout the resort that smelled like a sewage issue. The most disappointing part of our stay was that I qualified for room upgrades at check-in. I requested an upgrade, and this was the room we were assigned. If this was considered an upgrade, I can't imagine what the standard rooms look like. Overall, this property was a huge disappointment and did not resemble the beautiful resort shown in the photos.

Fun hotel, dukes was great and hotel was clean.

Under heavy renovations, poor service, renovated room was subpar but Hula Grill was great.

Perfect location for a family!! Lots of construction so some of the amenities weren’t available but amazing for what we came for. Will definitely book again!

Great hotel and I’ll be back! Loved Dukes and the views !

I do love this hotel and have stayed here before. What I didn’t like was they are going thru a massive renovation which I swear was not documented anywhere when we booked. We received a email regarding it 3 days prior to arrival. The noise started at 6:30 am and could be heard in our room, and balcony too of course. The restaurants, pool etc were unaffected but the rest of the public spaces were. The cleaning staff was great. We were directed to the other Outrigger properties for the cultural activities like lei making. Love Dukes, the staff and food are great. The room decor is definitely tired and worn out, but those are being updated also. I just wish we had a little compensation for all the noise. It was jarring after 5 days. Thankful they didn’t work on the weekend

Everything thing was fine except our refrigerator wasn’t working. Other than that the place is fine. It’s my second time staying at this resort and I would stay again.

Ocean view

We had a girls trip. We had a room with 2 double beds, partial ocean view. Our room was a brand newly renovated so it was spotless and very comfortable. It was a bit noisy at times from construction going on above us, but the workers we saw in the elevators were all polite and friendly. So it wasn’t a huge issue. We didn’t rent a car so the location to the beach was perfect and the walk to stores and restaurants was so close. Great place to stay !

Small bed, insufficient lighting awkward shower. Staff was nice

Cons- Whole hotel is under construction, no amenities other than the restaurant and pool. Should have given some vouchers or free drinks to make up for the construction.

Was unaware there was Construction going on... you should probably tell people that... was awesome other than that
