OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beach Resort

The property has ongoing construction, so noise, dust, and construction will be a part of your stay. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. It's on the beach and right in the middle of everything in Waikiki, so be prepared for the hustle of a resort with a lot of people around! Lots of food options on site and nearby. Overall, it's a wonderful location and I would say here again

Loved the property location. There was some construction being done, but they covered it pretty well. The only inconvenience I experienced was the gym not being located on the property. I had to go to a sister hotel and use that gym, which was about a 5 minute walk away so wasn't bad.

Hotel is being renovated. Contractors Rotohammering at 7:30 when told they start at 9:00 AM. Complaints to Front Desk made no difference. Such a disappointing stay at an excellent hotel. Valet and restaurant staff were great.

Way too crowded for the money. Yes it is ocean front but it is wall to wall people. You also have to pay $100 an hour for 2 chairs. It is loud and not relaxing. Not what you would expect from such a highly rated resort. The staff was not friendly or helpful either. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone. Oh and did I mention the crowds!! The very popular Duke’s is here but the crowds waiting for a table also add to the hustle and bustle!

The hotel is undergoing renovation which affects guests. I was shocked to get a USD50 per day amenity fee. Amenity for what? I asked. Amenity, was the reply. Staying in a building site definitely lacks amenity. Further espresso coffee is not available, only over brewed drip variety. The food in general was overpriced and excessively salty.

All staff was super friendly, helpful and nice. The hotel is under renovation so the lobby/walkway area is kind of hectic and warm. The room was beautiful and the ocean view was amazing. It was newly renovated and everything is new. Water pressure was good - heated toilet seat. The only thing I would change is the closet/ it didn’t have an area for long dresses or pants. Overall the hotel was convenient, and very nice for being in the middle of a renovation. I would 100% stay here again once the construction is complete.

They are undergoing construction. So, its a little messy, but overall an excellent stay.

The team, especially the valet /bell team (Troy), treated us like we were part of their Ohana. We have stayed here twice simply due to their level of service. The hotel is currently under renovations or I would have given them all 5 stars. The location is perfect, with the beach area being free of rocks, and being right across the street from the International Market Place.

On checking in we were informed that Expedia knew about the renovations (significant including a temporary reception area). The noise was extreme on our checkin with numerous contractors working on multiple floors at once. We were informed this work would occur every day from 9am to 4pm. On our first morning work started at 7.30am. We complained - it got worse every morning of our stay. We contacted Expedia and they said they had not been informed of the work and there was nothing that could be done. We have complained to the property about the awful conditions for a holiday. They would have looked after us if we booked through then? Not sure of the value of using Expedia?

I wanted to share how wonderful our recent stay was for my daughter’s graduation celebration. We are returning guests, but this experience truly surpassed our previous visit. The staff was exceptionally warm and helpful, especially after hearing about a poor experience we had just faced at another hotel on Waikiki Beach for the 4th of July. Your team completely turned our vacation around! We were also pleasantly surprised by an unexpected upgrade of our ocean view room with an addition of lanai, which we loved! Though we were aware of the construction and other guests' complaints, it did not impact our stay whatsoever. This hotel is my daughter’s absolute favorite, and you made her graduation unforgettable. Thank you so much!

View was amazing

Do not plan your next Hawaii trip and stay at the Outrigger Waikiki!! The entire hotel is under construction. Booked a room with an ocean view and Club floor access for an additional 200 dollars a day. Our room did not have an ocean view and the Club floor was closed due to renovation. Instead we were given a 100 dollar food voucher to use at one of their restaurants. The staff are not to blame but greedy corporations that did not notify us until a week before our trip that the hotel was under construction. There is no way my family should have been allowed to book Club level access when it wasn’t an option!! So disappointed and will not recommend the Outrigger to anyone because of their dishonesty and lack of transparency with their patrons.

The room was dirty, stains on the couch, mold in the bathroom, dirty curtains. Felt like a cheap motel. The pool is crowded with loungers all the way around the pool. There was no room for a person with a wheelchair or a walker to get around the pool to go to the beach. Hotel is not ADA compliant. Waste of money staying there.

This property is currently under heavy renovation so a large part of the property is closed off due to construction. This information was not disclosed before we booked this reservation. There are other comparable properties nearby that are not under construction. I would advise booking with one of those or requesting a discount if you book at this property.

Great location in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The restaurants (Dukes and Hula Grill) were terrific as were the staff. Walking out onto the beach and pool was amazing. The only downside at the moment is the noise and lift delays from the ongoing renovation and construction.

Everything was beautiful. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Can’t wait to come back next year.
