Room was comfortable. Receptionist was very rude. She ovously doesn't care about cancer patients or do they give discounts for cancer patients at MD Anderson. They charge for parking which is ridiculous! How else is a person supposed to get there!

It was a Hampton Inn. We were met at the counter by Aurora & Drell. Both were awesome, courteous, willing to help. The hot breakfast was hot & good. Maria did a great job of keeping it stocked while still having a smile on her face.. which is hard when u have a hungry crowd all want & fixing food. ;-) I thought it was closer to Daikin Park for the baseball game.. it wasn't. I also thought they had a shuttle available.. they didn't. The "girls" at the front desk suggested Uber or Lyft. I didn't like either option as Uber is pricey & Lyft had bad reviews. I ended up using Go Go Grandparent..they were good. The property was a bit dated but it was clean & comfortable.

Location is great. The price for me was perfect The staff could communicate much better. At one point, the fire alarm went off and everyone evacuated the building, but none of the staff gave any instructions or updates. Guests were left confused and unsure of what to do. When the alarm stopped, the cleaners simply began going back inside, but no member of staff confirmed whether it was safe for guests to return. Everyone just assumed it was safe because the alarm had stopped. I found this very unprofessional, especially in a situation involving guests’ safety. Even the simplest level of communication and coordination would have made a big difference.
