Cool place

Very cool place. Old train station and they kept the feel to be an old train station. No continental breakfast.
-
It was quite and we had a work retreat so it was a perfect place to collaborate and then rest.

I enjoyed my stay at Crown Plaza. There was construction going on so we were re-routed and the hotel was hard to find. It was complicated but we finally found it. The staff was nice and the hotel was very clean.

The Crowne Plaza is an absolutely beautiful historic hotel! Me & my daughter were in town for a concert, so just a 24hr trip. We got the opportunity to stay in one of the lovely train carts and the best part was that we were able to explore this historic hotel, free will! And the venture around the plaza did not disappoint, so much history. The staff were amazing! Crystal the front desk receptionist was very welcoming and helpful as well as the gentleman who were bartending at the time were so nice and great conversation. I will be back for sure! I did not like the construction all around the hotel and it’s not their fault of course. But because of the construction we had no choice but to to do valet service, which was $50 a night a bit expensive considering the inconvenience.

Such a fun design, with the train rooms, but even better was a clean and comfortable room witness way access to the convention center and Lucas Oil. Will stay again!

We were In town for a competition. Quiet place to stay. Close to Lucas oil and plenty of food options around the area. Nice bar and good food in the hotel.
-
As always, it is a mixed bag with front desk staff. Some are above and beyond excellent and others are some of the worst of all time.

Train car rooms were very cool to stay in Front desk people were helpful The hotel presents itself as a luxury property, but in my experience, it did not live up to that expectation. Its biggest advantage is that it is connected to the convention center, but that alone did not make up for the other issues I encountered. One of my biggest concerns was the number of homeless individuals, some of whom appeared to be experiencing mental health issues, around the hotel. Several would approach or follow guests, and others would come into the hotel and sleep in the lounge area. This made the environment feel less comfortable than I expected. The room itself was also disappointing. There was a noticeable amount of thick dust, especially around and on the air vents, which made the room feel like it had not been thoroughly cleaned. Another inconvenience was the lack of a microwave in the room. The hotel only had one microwave, located on the first floor in the market area, and there was almost always a line of people waiting to use it. The breakfast was especially underwhelming. Considering it was a paid breakfast, the selection was extremely limited. I've honestly had complimentary breakfasts at other hotels that offered a much wider variety of food. Checkout was also a frustrating experience. There was only one employee working the front desk, resulting in a long line and an unnecessarily lengthy wait. My biggest complaint, however, is the parking. For the price of staying at this hotel, I expected complimentary parking, but there was none. While I understand the hotel cannot control the construction happening around the property, the directions they provided were not helpful. Guests were simply told to use Google Maps and that it would account for the construction, which it did not. On top of that, the hotel's parking fees were excessive. Overall, for the amount charged to stay here, I expected far more in terms of amenities and overall value.
