MainStay Suites Jacksonville near Camp Lejeune

Overall it was ok, but the staff was rude at the front desk when the room was rented for an additional night, I called the store and set it up for my girlfriend to come down and have the keys re keyed since we were staying in the same room then when she went down to do it the lady was very rude about doing it, after it had already been set up for this. Idk she did it but with an attitude

Dallas at the front desk is ALWAYS AMAZING! The cleaning crew is top notch. I stay here about every two weeks and in the last month they are really working to improve the cleanliness and the appearance of the facility. Grounds and surrounding property needs some work especially with regards to trash and pet 💩

Staff was very helpful, lots of parking

Before we even arrived, I tried multiple times to call the hotel to let them know we would be checking in late. I was left on hold for over 30 minutes before being disconnected, and every call after that went unanswered. When we arrived, the front desk employee was friendly, but she was outside in a white van with her children instead of at the desk, which was unprofessional. The room was unbearably hot. We called the front desk and were told it was “normal” for the AC to freeze and that we needed to turn the heat on for 30 minutes before setting it back to 68. It never cooled anywhere close to 68. We kept the blinds closed and even asked to switch rooms, but were refused. Since the hotel wouldn’t solve the issue, we had to spend $60 on fans just to make the room tolerable. Maintenance admitted there was nothing they could do except repeat the same instructions. They told us to leave the thermostat at 85 while we were out and promised to return 30 minutes later to reset it. We were gone for 8 hours, and no one ever came. We returned to an extremely hot room with the thermostat still at 85. We paid for a room with working air conditioning and basic customer service, and we received neither. This experience was unacceptable from start to finish. I am requesting a full refund, including reimbursement for the $60 we were forced to spend on fans because the hotel failed to provide a functioning, livable room.

The exercise room My door didn’t latch under its own weight you had to make sure to pull it shut because it had a catch in it. Also the shower valve was finicky did get it figured out but at first it was too hot and I couldn’t get it turned down to take an enjoyable shower. Also the 4th floor hallway smelled mainly due to no air circulation no air in the hallway on the 4th floor and the elevator smelled bad too

We had a quick one night stay. Comfortable beds and attentive staff.

It was very pet friendly and the staff worked well with us when we brought problems to them Lots of damage throughout the room from past guests like the door being damaged the coffee table being damaged (staff fixed once I talked to them) the walls are all dirty and the mattress looked like it had mold on it and was dirty etc. at least for the pet rooms it seems there is no care to take care of the rooms

Really liked the Metro Diner down the road for breakfast The coffee in the room was terrible

Everything was nice and well kept 5-5. Also in very convenient location in between everything in town

Helpful staff, room we stayed at was relatively clean and didn't have a weird smell like the previous hotel I've stayed at. I would stay here again.

Needs to have a pool and serve continental breakfast! Especially the breakfast.

The interior smelled like cigarette smoke. It was not cleaned. The elevator was dirty and smelled. The room was clean but can it was run down and really not worth the money paid. As for a peaceful stay, the hotel sounded like a brothel. I could hear every sound from the rooms. This took place all night and during the day. Even in the lobby, the guests looked as if they were from off the streets. Drunks hanging out in front of the hotel.

Room was basic, carpet was stained. Shower was scaldong with no water pressure tho it was fixed the day after reporting it. Main AC to the floor was broken so as soon as you walked out of your room the hallways were unbearavly hot and smelled. Elevator was not functioning well- sporadic at best. Staff was friendly just a shame the place had so many issues.
