Hampton Inn & Suites Kalamazoo - Oshtemo

There was not much to like about the property. Room125 was in very poor condition. Shouldn't have been available for use as it had a lot of unrepaired damage.

Good condition and helpful staff. Being updated as I write and well maintained,. Pleasant staff a plus.

The rooms were dirty with dilapidated furniture. Sheets were too small for the bed. Toilet barely flushed and the bathroom lights had a short. The pool was closed. We ended up leaving to stay with family rather than sleep there.

Breakfast was below par compared to other Hamptons we've stayed at.

We made reservations the night before coming as we knew we would arrive late. When we got to the hotel we found our reservation was cancel with no notification and we were still charge for the room. Now it is a fight to get refunded:

First of all ice machine on our floor broken all 5 days we were there. Air conditioning I. Fitness room not working and it was 90. Thirdly never had change for washer and dryer. Said would get some every day. Finally had to walk to liquor store across the street

Hotel was nice and comfortable. We stayed memorial weekend and there was a dog show and car show going on. The atmosphere was wonderful for my kids and I. Hotel is being updated but I still loved it. Breakfast options could be a bit more. Didn't have traditional waffles which the kids love

The hotel is under renovation so there was supplies and material all over the parking lot and in the hotel. Stayed at this same hotel last year at the same time and it was in way better condition. Not a bad stay but hotel was dirtier and not as pleasant as the previous year.

Overall, the hotel was not to the standard of the price they were charging.

Staff pleasant and breakfast offerings were good. Location convenient to our friends’ home in Mattawan.

Clean room, housekeeping staff was excellent.

Booked a double queen with couch. Got stuck with a normal room that had no refrigerator. Paid extra for the bigger room an got no reimbursement.

Gave me the wrong room at first. I paid for 2 Queen beds and a pull out. She said they switched it that morning it wasn’t available she ended up moving us because I did pay for the larger room. When we got to the room the toilet was stained with poop, the mattress on the pull out was basically non existent. No pillow cases on the pillows and stained. Gave us a hard time about needing more towels the second day as a family of 4 we used 4 with showering. Never towels at the pool. Random box spring in front of the stairs. Wallpaper held up with tacks. Terrible hotel.

Dirty, outdated, unkept, plastic hanging from windows. Minimal, I mean minimal breakfast options. I can’t believe this hotel is up to Hilton standards

I liked how it had a pool and the room was a decent size. While we were there the toilet seat came off, went and told the staff we were told maintenance didn’t come in until Monday we stayed on a Saturday. When I had to use the restroom we had to goto one of the bathrooms off the lobby. I stayed on the 3rd floor.

The pool area/ outdoor patio was dirty. The work out room had one broken treadmill and again seemed dirty. There was plastic around the windows flying in the breeze. The housekeepers did a good job in the room. Not sure Hilton would like it’s reputation associated with this Hampton Inn… we have always stayed at Hampton inns whenever we travel, but this facility has made us question this decision.

Dirty, bathroom smelt bad had to ask for a new room. Pool was gross

What really got me was there is no tornado shelter, nor was the hotel staff prepared to help guests with the several tornado warnings we had during my stay. By the time she called her manager, the place could have been flattened.

I was disappointed that they ran out of milk. And no microwave in the room. All of the ice machines on all three floors were either out of ice or broken. Other than that it was ok.
