Margaritaville Hotel Kansas City

Beautiful property, very clean, well maintained. We all enjoyed the pool and waterslide

The good, the bad and the ugly. I went here for 2 days on a girls trip. The rooms and facilities were nice. The pool gate closest to the door need a sign that states you cannot enter as everyone was trying to enter the pool through that gate and couldn't figure out why their cards didn't work. Once in the pool area, we tried to order separately for our lunch and drinks and were told we needed to put everything on one order because that's just the way they do it. Didn't make much sense, if we had all come individually and with a group, we would have ordered separately. They were completely booked for the weekend so that may have been why. The "private island" in the middle of the pool is kind of a joke, it takes up about 1/4 of the pool are and it was very crowded and no one is allowed on the island unless you rent it. Over $500.00 on the weekend to rent a cabana seemed extreme as well. Food and drinks were very expensive and beware that when you check out there are a lot of additional fees to pay such as parking and resort fees. I assumed we paid that when we checked in but got surprised with an additional bill. There isn't much else to do as there was a game room for kids, a bar and restaurant inside and a workout room. Other than that it was pretty much just the pool. No adult only areas and no swim up bar. I expected a little more for a Margaritaville. An adults only pool would have been a plus. Probably won't go back.

Staff was great. Clean rooms. Pool was awesome.

My family and I were genuinely excited to stay at Margaritaville after good friends recommended it. We stayed in a King Bedroom Suite with a balcony. While we enjoyed the outdoor/indoor pools and found the staff friendly, several issues made our stay disappointing. At LandShark Bar & Grill, my partner ordered steak tacos that were extremely chewy and appeared undercooked. When we mentioned it, we were told that was simply how they were prepared, although the tacos were removed from our bill. My son and I ordered cheeseburgers and fries, but the fries were extremely cold. The room had several concerns. We found what appeared to red stains on the comforter (not confirming it was blood but it looked like it could be) along with numerous blue glitter-like stains. The replacement bedding provided by the hotel also had multiple blue stains. Our son needed a place to sleep, but no cots were available, so he had to sleep on the floor using a pack-and-play mattress. The coffee machine also did not work, and there were brown stains/residue on several doors. The most concerning issue occurred the final morning when I woke up with significant swelling and puffiness around my eyes and eyebrows. I cannot say what caused it, but given the condition of the bedding, I do wonder whether dust, dirt, or something on the linens contributed. We reported these concerns at checkout and were given a small credit.

Everything about the hotel was great I have no complaints

Beautiful room, clean, convenient. Pool was disappointing. While large, the deepest area is 3.5ft. You can walk around, but nothing else.

Comfortable, clean, and fun!

I was mostly disappointed with the Landshark restaurant. The server got two of them four items that we ordered incorrect. And a different server that brought the meal out just mumbled something about tacos plopped it down on the table and walked off. They had delivered the wrong tacos, but my husband ate them anyways, and they weren’t very good. I had the steak sandwich and it was not good at all either.

The staff is incredible, kind, friendly and engaging! The pool area is small. It appears much larger in pictures. The outside bar is big and beautiful however the wait time for food and drinks was quite lengthy. They needed additional staff due to the number of people in the area. The price of the overnight stay was not worth the amenities :-(

Staff was absolutely incredible!

Fun concept. Pool was huge with multiple areas to sit in the water which was nice. The staff was very kind. Not usually a frozen drink girl, but im pretty sure we drank like 20 pina coladas our stay. Overall a solid spot.

The ice machine was covered in noodles, our room hadn’t been properly cleaned, trash under the bed q-tips had been opened missing soap there was blood on the bathroom wall by the sink. Staff was very friendly though

Great for couples or a ladies trip. Pool all day shopping near by!

Rooms very clean, beds comfortable and staff very friendly

Had a small issue with the refrigerator being noisy. Let the staff know next morning and they were very good about making sure my stay was pleasant. 3rd stay at this location always great and will be back
