American Inn North Kansas City

On the first night, the other guests made us feel unsafe; however, the next day—coinciding with the World Cup—people attending the matches arrived, and we felt more at ease. Otherwise, we would have switched hotels. The front desk even has bulletproof glass. The staff was friendly, considering they moved us to different rooms twice—first due to a dirty bathroom (walls with mold) and then because of a musty odor. If you decide to stay at this hotel, please keep these comments in mind.

My room #126 had an odd smell. Seemed to be a few sketchy people hanging around. I never felt uncomfortable as I kept my good friend.40 with Me. But I worked for Me to rest as I was awaiting for My truck to be repaired.

Building is old and there was a strong cigarette/vipe smell everywhere. Not a great experience.

I mean pretty cheap and also available which was nice. It has good AC and the beds are decently soft and comfortable. It’s old and things work only mostly well. Staff can be polite, but I also heard some complaints while there.

When the door lock broke they moved us with no fuss and where so nice!

Love location in N KC the area is AWESOME Tays burger shack is n walking distance OPEN 24HRS...DAMN Good eats..QT next door all the snacks n drinks u could want

The entire place was filthy. And for that, we paid $220 for the night. FIFA was in town, but no games the night we stayed. Regularly, their usual rate is apparently $69. Actually, I cannot say one positive thing about this hotel.

All the staff treated me with respect and smile. This hotel is the only one I feel safe enough to get my visits with my little girls. And not the pool is open that absolutely loved it. I enjoyed it all there was nothing I didn't like about it.

This is a great location, an easy on/off the highway. The staff was friendly and there were plenty of parking spots available. They charged me exactly what was quoted-No surprise charges, yay! The smell of cigarette smoke permeates the lobby, although our non smoking room DID NOT smell like cigarette smoke. Upon arrival we noticed that the advertised rate had dropped almost $15 per night. Since I had prepaid the room, I didn't say anything-But matching the advertised rate would have been a nice touch.

Room was visably not cleaned. Hair ties and change were found around bed, sheets stained and had crumbs. Room smelled like locker room. Staff was great overall but the upkeep of the inside and outside left much to be desired.

Dirty rooms, they do not change the sheets, found old socks and stains everywhere. Just STAY AWAY !!!

Becki was very friendly and doing a good job. Shouldn’t be an option unless you are out of choices in the city. The room was not cleaned at all.

The room was dirty we couldn’t put things in the drawers because they were disgusting. The mini fridge was dirty in side. The bathroom was growing mold on the walls and in the tub. There were holes in the wall and kids crayon marks on the doors. I would not ever stay there again unless only option left in the either state.
