Great place

You know the room and bedding was nice. I stayed there much of the days and didn’t hate being there so it must be decent. Some loud cars occasionally on the road but not their fault, just loud revving cars. The parking is weird if you have to take an elevator or are handicapped absolutely do not book this hotel. You park in the back and have to take the side door and side stairs and no AC in the hallway which is weird but once you get in the room it’s good and it’s not far to that little stairwell. Just a little annoying with a heavy bag it would be a super long walk from the front to elevator to the room (and then you’d have to go back and move your car from front to parking spot so you have to take the side if you have a heavy bag. Good value tho. Safe gated parking lot. Only one way in and one way out where 2 hotels face the entrance, it’s a super short walk to food and I don’t speak Spanish but I walked to the Mexican grocery store and it was perfect for sodas and grocery’s and they spoke English lol. There’s even more to walk to if you want. I’d stay again.

This hotel is well maintained by the family who runs it! They are friendly and most courteous! We’ve stayed before and will continue to stay here! Breakfast is an added plus! It’s a clean place too!

The biggest issue was the number of tiny flying bugs in the room. On the first day, I noticed around 10 of them. By the second day, there were literally dozens flying around the room. I reported the issue to the front desk, and their solution was to spray a large amount of insecticide inside the room. The chemical smell became so strong and stuffy that it actually gave me a headache. At that point, I asked to change rooms, but I was told there were absolutely no other rooms available. Since the room was uncomfortable to stay in, I finally decided to check out and move to the Hampton across the street. Strangely, as soon as I said I was leaving, another room suddenly became available and they offered to move me. That was especially frustrating. If another room was available, I don’t understand why I had to reach the point of checking out before I was allowed to move. Between the bug infestation, the excessive insecticide sprayed in the room, and the way the situation was handled by the front desk, this was a very disappointing experience. I returned because I had stayed here before, but after this visit, I would not choose this hotel again.

The property is clean, rooms are large, the beds comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good area, 15 mins from Katy Mills. The Bad: There’s a $50 deposit/charge for “damages and incidentals” that isn’t mentioned at booking, (only at check-in and takes 5 days to come off) and they don’t refill breakfast items from the Free Buffet. Also, pool is in-door and unseated, literally freezing cold. Good value for the price if you just need a good, clean room to sleep.

My over all stay was great. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice and helpful. As especially the front desk staff. I will come to this hotel again.

Enjoyed the stay! Was not too fond of the manager on duty Friday night and how he used hand gestures to be able to stop me from talking while I was trying to understand a charge on my card. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.
