Tryp By Wyndham New Orleans Airport & Conference Center

The lobby is beautiful and inviting. The first room that I received was not clean. I had to go back to the front desk. I received another room assignment. That room was clean and spacious. Idid notice that the hall leading up to the room had not been cleaned/ vacummed the two nights that I was there. I didn't really see much staff on site, so I'm not sure if they were short staffed. I rented the hotel because it offered a pool as one of the amenities. However, I was told by staff that the pool was not available. Which really put a damper on my stay. The smoke detector started to beep intermittently at close to 3:00 am and I was unable to get anyone on the phone, so I dressed to go to the front desk. The overnight person had stepped away from the desk. When she returned, I was told that maintenance was not available and that I could change rooms. I did not want to change rooms at that time of the morning, so I agreed to let her know if it started again. I was also told that there is a Tryp side and a Wyndham side of the hotel. I'm not sure what the difference is. Over all the hotel is esthetically pleasing and the staff was friendly.

I wasnt happy with my stay at Tryp Hotel the shower head didnt work in room 1246 which resulted in me having to take a bath secondly the pool being close due to cleaning purposes I will like a credit or some money refunded because this was unacceptable

I don't understand the 4.4 rating. Our stay was comfortable, pillow soft, clean, great location, and updated. The customer service was A+ and plenty of parking. Minor issue, small, but the front desk was attentive and prompt to share with the maintenance dept.

the lobby tricked me the lobby looks beautiful I will say that but going into my room I got lost there’s not enough signs to direct you into the rooms room was organized and stocked up with necessities but the toilet wouldn’t flush I had to lift the lid on the water tank and manually flush the toilet also the inside of the bowl was like yellow ish not because it was dirty mainly so because it’s probably outdated the shower valves could use some re adjusting but works fine one of the lights wouldn’t work in the bathroom as well now where I had the real issue was when I was getting ready to go to bed there was a cockroach the size of a Toyota car remote key that mf wouldn’t die 😂 killed it tho but yeah that ruined the night I can tell the hotel is outdated but they should definitely look into the little things because they matter a lot wish I could get a refund but it was like 80$ so i guess you get what you pay for Wish I would’ve taken pictures but just know I left a bag in the hallway with a dead roach

It was clean!! Only complaint, no pool at the time. Overall I would recommend.

We arrived on Friday. There were multiple people waiting and it took forever to get checked in around 4:30/5:30pm. There was only one staff member and the AC was not working throughout the hotel. It was extremely hot and humid. We get the key to our first room, only to find the AC does not work. We immediately notified the front desk who advised she would move our room. I go down to get the keys she had ready and NEVER signed additional paperwork or used my card this second time. The second room’s door was left opened upon arrival. I just assumed they were checking the AC for this room. The door did not close on its own, you had to push it for it to lock all the way. I discovered an additional room charge and additional incidental fee that still shows as pending 5 business days later. This completely disrupted our trip and we had to make arrangements. The hotel was notified and admitted fault However, nothing was done as far as any goodwill courtesy to make up for this major inconvenience after fully starting the issue. I called my bank and they can’t do anything until they charge posts so that’s my money that was taken from me and unavailable to use for a week now! Didn’t see that this is a 2.9 star hotel or else we would have never stayed here. It was a good price but for a peace of mind, do not book here!!

Pool was not usable it was green and the area was filthy no air in the lobby or halls

Bathrooms are dated. Motel 6 vibes

I would probably recommend to a friend as long as they don't get a bottom floor, no window room.
