Clean, peaceful and friendly staff.

Room was beautifully decorated and more than enough space for our family. The shower we had was extremely small though, so just a word of caution for us bigger-boned folk! I made it work but it wasn't easy. Breakfast is at the restaurant and was good. Pool is great, private beach is great. We lived all the wildlife around! We definitely recommend.

My husband and I used took this trip for our anniversary. The property was lovely and the staff especially the manager. He went above and beyond every single day! From bringing drinks while lounging at pool, bringing fresh fruit out, and helping in anyway possible.

room wasn’t clean when we first got there we had switched a couple times in between rooms because I kept booking more days but each time there was something wrong in the first room. The light wouldn’t stay off. It kept turning itself back on. There was suspected blood stains on the flower sheet on the bed and there was a lot of flies inside of the room. The staff was OK. I didn’t really interact with them as much throughout my stay, but during the end of it, the front desk lady was the rudest person I have ever met when I gave her back my keys after accidentally being late for checkout and trying to rush back from our charter. She tried to charge me $100 and didn’t say a single word to me when I brought the keys back, I should have thrown them at her face.

The room was so awful we couldn’t stay there and we un-checked in, asked for a refund, and left. They said take it up with hotels.com, who said take it up with the property. They didn’t want to give up the ‘guaranteed booking’ money, no doubt because the room was unrentable. And we’ll be getting a refund whether they like it or not. Our standards for Key West are pretty low. It’s Key West, we know the drill. This place didn’t come within a nautical mile of a low standard. Wound up driving back to key largo in the middle of the night after this place did its best to ruin our stay. I hope they fall into the ocean. Karma. Tl;dr: this place has pretty pictures. Don’t be fooled. It’s garbage.

Nice property. Didn't love that it was on a busy street but overall a great place to stay. Not close to downtown but if you rent a golf cart it's no problem.
-
The negatives: There were ants in the room crawling onto our bed, another dead bug in the windowsill, and the pool water was NASTY. You could see so many things floating in it, hair, paper/plastic, dust etc. I also wish that there was more shade covering more of the pool.

Convenient location

Our room had a strong unpleasant odor, and the shower faucet was installed incorrectly—the hot and cold indicators were reversed. We thought there was no hot water and ended up taking cold showers. When we reported the issue, the hotel sent a maintenance worker who did not speak English, making communication difficult. The only solution offered was to move us after we had already unpacked. We had actually considered extending our stay for another night because we liked the location, but after this experience and the way our concerns were handled, we decided to stay elsewhere instead. A clean, odor-free room and a properly functioning shower are basic expectations. Given the inconvenience and disappointment, we believe a partial refund for our night's stay would be a fair gesture of goodwill.

That was a clean room and a nice little resort reasonably priced for what you get. We had a comfortable night in Key West.

Had a good one night at Ibis Bay. Arrived in time to feed the nurse shark at the dock! (1pm&5pm) Highlight for our daughter. Rooms are small, but adequate and clean. Property has a fun vibe. Pool area was nice at the end of our day. Breakfast was good too. Overall a good little place to stop for a couple nights while at Key West.

AC is loud. Annoying to sleep with but cannot sleep to have it off. I won’t stay here again. Plus there is extra fee ( resort fee). I was not informed beforehand of it.
-
Beware there is a “resort fee” that I was not aware of. Maybe missed during check and “fine print”, but had paid in full through Expedia when I booked. Looking for just an overnight stay (last minute) for short visit to Key West. So for two rooms I booked there was a total $66 additional charge that I noticed on credit card I gave for added amenities. It was not nearly as reasonably priced as I first thought.

Breakfast was not all that great the waffles were too sweet, you had to prepare your own meal from cold foods, the room was clean and really nicely put together, o thought there was ocean front swimming but it was not, crab shack is awesome!!!
