K Bar S Lodge, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Mountain View from room is Mount Rushmore! Great breakfast included and cafe open for other meals. Room accessibility from parking is so easy. Only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Overall a great location. Very cool to see Washington and Jefferson from Mount Rushmore at night from our room. The hot tub was nice after hiking every day. I will say I don't believe they ever closed ours up overnight so you find some bugs in it but not a big deal. Breakfast was good as well with fresh fresh fruit if you got there early. They were out by 730 am the one morning. So convenient for the wildlife loop and other activities in the area. Such a pretty place . Will go there again if in that area.

This place was amazing. Everything was new and well maintained. The breakfast was one of the best breakfasts I have had at a hotel. Room was excellent, easy access, plentiful parking, plenty of amenities. Highly recommended

K Bar S is a complete package in a lovely setting. It’s just a short distance from downtown Keystone, SD and tranquilly surrounded by the Black Hills. Less than 10 minutes from Mount Rushmore and a convenient drive to all Black Hills attractions. There is an on-sight Pub serving delicious food from 4-8 PM. Breakfast is included served in the Gazebo. Both restaurants have a view of the grounds and outside seating, weather permitting. The staff were all very helpful. Be sure to request a room with an outside patio/balcony.

Absolutely wonderful! Room was clean and large. Great amenities! Wonderful breakfast. The property overall is a great stay!! Highly recommend. We also had a nice profile view of Mt. Rushmore.

Breakfast was good but not on par with well know chains like Hilton

Very nice facility, in a quiet location, everybody was friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious and plentiful, we will definitely stay there again.

Check on staff was good and informative. Had to call to see if could extend stay and gentle that answered phone was very matter of fact. Breakfast had a variety of item but was out of eggs in both styles serving. Would I recommend to others to stay. Yes. It serves the purpose

The K Bar S offers spectacular views and a relaxing atmosphere! My husband and I got married there a few years ago and return every year for our anniversary! Staff even remembered us from previous years!

Hotel was older and in just okay condition. The view and proximity to Mt Rushmore were amazing though. They gave us a delicious chocolate chip cookies upon check in, the dinner at the restaurant was good too.

The most stress free place I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Perfect location and well maintained property. The welcome cookies were a surprise treat! Definitely recommend.

Very nice property. Quiet and attractive. However, I experienced the rudest, condescending, smart alec ever, anywhere, at the front desk during check out. I would not stay here again. Anywhere that would employ such a person doesn't deserve my patronage.

Loved the setting of this hotel. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Not walkable but short drive to shopping and dining area. Can see George Washington from this hotel so just a short drive to Mount Rushmore.

Love the lodge setting not like a hotel. Clean beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was a plus. Close to all the sites. This was our 2nd time staying there
