The guy at the front desk was awesome. The breakfast was worth the price of the room alone so it’s like going out for a nice meal and getting a free room for the night. If I’m ever in this area again I know where I’ll be staying. It’s also in such a convenient location that you can walk to most of the places around and Mt Rushmore is literally about a 3 min drive away

Older motel showing its age. Could use a serious actual remodel, not just paint..quaint place, would love to see it become what it was in it's glory days. Front desk was considerate and concerned. I would say, take this place with a grain of salt, and rose colored glasses. Wife said she would not stay here again, as is.

We stayed here with 3 kids and a dog. The place is pretty dated but clean and I felt safe. There was no hand soap and no shampoo in the shower, which I thought was weird. The breakfast was pretty basic. Nothing fancy

When we got there, the person who checked us in asked if a queen bed was big enough for me. I said yes, its me and husband and that's the same size bed we use at home. I'm not a super large person, so I was somewhat offended. Either that, or he was trying to upcharge to two queen beds. Besides that the room was relatively clean, but the towels were stained and looked like they were from the previous guest, and not changed out. The pillows were also like a flat tire, and when my husband went to ask for another one, the guy said they had a limited supply, and we think he gave us the pillow from his own bed. For one night, it was tolerable, but wouldn't recommend again. They did have a decent hot breakfast set up, which was nice.

The attendant was as super helpful, kind, and a very hard worker! He does it all - checking in, prepares all breakfast food, cleans the rooms, maintains the property…. All by himself! He deserves a a huge raise!! Property was quiet, convenient, affordable.

The carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced it had a large spot that was sticky. Air conditioner was mediocre. Tv was streaming service and needed me to set up account for free tv app, was not given Roku PIN at check in, internet quit working around midnight. Breakfast was good. Staff were sweet. The decking needs work, nails sticking up, need chairs outside rooms.

After a long day's drive and a brief walk before going in to relax and watch some TV, I found there were only 4 channels available, so no real selection. Also, I had to have the volume way up because the air conditioner which was located above the head of the bed was so loud it couldn't be heard otherwise. However, the worst thing about this motel was the shower. It was about the size of a standard refrigerator so there was barely room to turn around in it; the shower head was about five feet off the floor so I had to squat to wash my hair (I'm 5'10") and when I was able to turn around, the faucet handle stuck out so far that I would bump it and turn it to cold! Finally, there was no aerator on the bathroom sink, so when I would turn the water on high enough to use the water would splash out of the sink. I would not recommend this motel.

Room is big and clean staff is friendly breakfast is ok

Found tiny bugs under the bed sheets, bathroom had a horrible urine smell. Left after one hour and went to another hotel

Room was definitely dated, odor in room, deck flooring not maintained, vintage motel!

The ice machine didn't work ! Rooms were dirty.

I had called directly to the motel after I made the reservation to make sure they knew we had a dog and told them we had to have bottom level because my husband has an oxygen concentrator that’s heavy and we can’t carry it. Well the only room left was upstairs. The owner did carry the machine up which was nice. Problem was the steps and railings are old and rickety the deck has rotting wood and a picnic table on the deck is falling apart. That whole upper level is a death trap if there is ever a fire there’s no way out. I stayed before in the lower level and had no concerns but this time was not enjoyable. I was so worried that my husband would fall on those steps.

Older property that needs updates. Room was spacious, but bath was very outdated. Shower head barely at my shoulders. Staff at check in was very friendly, quick and easy. Didn’t check out the breakfast.

Our stay was o.k. Arround the cabins could be cleaner.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was provided in a comfortable setting and had a variety of items.

The room was falling apart. The deadbolt did not work because the unit had settled on the foundation and the floor was tilting. The door did not seal so you could see daylight all around the entire door. The bathroom floor was at such a slope it was difficult to stay standing. Very small one person shower. Window ac mounted in the wall had a hard time cooling the room. I spilled water on the floor and wiped it up with a towel and the towel was black from the dirt on the floor.

Decent place to stay. Basic but clean.
