Excellent overall

But be prepared to pay $40 for 2 drinks (1 wine and 1 martini) There a lots of great restaurants and bars around with reasonable pricing.
-
Nice hotel, very convenient and reasonably priced.

Front desk staff was wonderful- always helpful and friendly with a smile. We also went to the onsite restaurant several times and found the staff to be attentive and kind. We were not happy with the valet service and ending up changing to self park mid-stay.

Walking distance to lots of food and entertainment. Very nice hotel.

The Hilton in Downtown Knoxville provided easy access to the various nearby locations which would prompt one to visit the city. The rooms are comensurate with what one would expect in a hotel of that calibre. The restaurant is also first rate. Particularly memorable was an elaborate breakfast dish known as Tennessee Sunrise. If there is any drawback (and this is minor), it is with the access to the parking lot. Acceptable for normal commuting during one's stay, but a bit of extra effort is required in the loading and unloading process when checking in and out. The staff is quite knowledgeable and personable. In particular, a gentleman named Matt in guest services went the extra mile to minimize any potential challenges regarding a brief road trip I made during my stay. In general, the Knoxville Hilton lived up to the franchise's overall legacy.

The Knoxville Hilton is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! It is dirty. The room smelled terrible. The staff was extremely rude when I went back to the front desk to let them know, they had given me the wrong room. The front desk attendant told me I got the room that was available in the hotel, even though it was not the suite that I paid for. She said that room was no longer available. I got a refund on the room and was happy to leave the premises upon doing so. I would absolutely not recommend anyone staying at the Hilton in Knoxville, Tennessee!

I realize bell hops are a thing of the past but when two women 65 and 88 are struggling to get bags from a car, and two able bodied young men wearing hilton ids are watching them struggle and choose to be on their phones, and do not offer to help but keep their noses in their phones, it is just rude and lacking kindness. Not a great first impression. The desk staff are all awesome. Helpful, willing to go the extra mile, fun and engaging, each one! Valet guys appear lazy, uninterested, unhelpful and preoccupied.

The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and responsive when we had issues with unruly fellow guests.
