Beautiful property well maintained. I didn’t like the noise off of Market Square when we were trying to sleep.

The room itself was a genuine highlight. The layout felt personal and warm rather than sterile, which sets it apart from most hotel rooms. The check-in and check-out process needs attention. No one was at the desk on either occasion. I had to wait to check in, and at check-out there was no one available at all — I simply left my key, though I had wanted to request a printed receipt. Breakfast was the most frustrating part of the stay. On Tuesday evening I called the front desk to place a breakfast order. The associate told me breakfast wasn't available on weekdays. I pointed out that the website states breakfast begins at 7:00 a.m. After three separate phone calls, she confirmed that breakfast was in fact available to hotel guests, and I placed an order for 7:00 a.m. At 7:00 the next morning, no breakfast arrived. I waited until 7:40 and called the front desk again. The gentleman explained that the cook doesn't arrive until 7:30 — which raises the question of why the website advertises a 7:00 a.m. start. He said he would check and call me back, but never did. My breakfast finally arrived at 7:45, and I wasn't able to eat it because I had to leave for an 8:00 a.m. meeting. The cost was $45 plus a $7 delivery fee for food that arrived 45 minutes late.

The location is perfect for walking downtown Knoxville. There is so much to see and do there and too many great restaurants to choose from. I would definitly stay here if I'm ever in Knoxville again.

First receptionist not very good, Did not program my room keys well. And he left front desk w/o an attendant. After waiting in lobby, Chris showed up and took care of his problem. Got into my room and he delivered a bottle 🍾 of champagne. Additionally hotel had bath salts set out for a soak. Wonderful stay, really appreciate the southern hospitality! Will stay here anytime I'm in Knoxville.

Second time staying here, although it would be more if it were available at other times. Excellent staff, room size and layout superb, super clean, location can’t be beat. Both times friendliest staff ever. We are already plotting a time to return.

There was a lot of dust. On the lamps and coffee pot. The carpets were buckled and stained. I was looking forward to trying this place but it was below my expectations. They should have some 4 star amenities like a welcome drink or champagne on check in or 20% off at the restaurant. The cleaning people came in but didn't replace the coffee or water.

Clean rooms helpful and FRIENDLY staff. GREAT location right around the corner from Market Square and a short walk from three top notch performance centers, and shopping.

One of the highlights was discovering the hidden speakeasy tucked inside the hotel. It was such a fun and unexpected surprise, adding a unique touch to the overall experience. If you're looking for a hotel with charm, excellent service, and a little something extra, The Oliver Hotel is definitely worth a visit. We would happily stay here again!

Let’s face it. A comfortable bed and a cool room are key to a restful sleep. We stayed in room 215 and it was 90% perfect. The only issue was the A/C couldn’t cool down under 72. But it was really hot, so I understand that. THANK YOU for the Nespresso machine in our room. And real cream. That was the bomb! Nothing. It was all great.
