Great stay! Very cute and well kept!

The room was very tight and the shower flooded the drain was dirty. Also there was not enough parking for property occupancy. The swing front desk young lady was polite but the day shift young lady upon arrival was not very welcoming as she seen us and stepped into the back. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The view the place was nice except air conditioner wasn't work and it was felt hot at night

Cute concept, really clean-but they have a lot of kinks to work out. WiFi didn’t work. tv was impossible to figure out and barely worked once we did figure it out. Today’s staff was not friendly. Our room was tiny but well situated with lots of storage, great aesthetic BUT the a/c is FREEZING when it does turn on, and blows right into your face while you’re sleeping. A wall unit situated on the upper wall is a better idea. Each room needs a kettle. I really dislike having to explain myself to the front desk staff every time I need hot water for my tea. An electric espresso machine is better utilized than dip bag coffee, bigger cups needed with to-go paper cups because there’s nowhere to sit once you get your breakfast pastry and coffee at six am…..

Enjoyed the location and being within walking distance of multiple restaurants, coffee shops, bars , etc. The beach was literally right across the street. The overall decor and vibe of this place was really cute. Cleanliness of the room wasn’t great. The idea and decor is so cute however like others have said there is obvious wear and tear. Dirty walls, sticky floors, stained/dirty flooring in the bathroom area. It was also very small and cramped (which multiple reviews stated). I wouldn’t recommend bringing many bags/suitcases. Parking is also iffy. $30 a night but no guarantee that you will be able to park in the lot at the end of the day. At one point we had to park on the street with metered parking which is kind of annoying after paying for onsite parking. We also had a very strange, bizarre, and unsettling situation happen our first night there with one of the other guests staying there. Sonder was prompt in handling it which I appreciate and it was quickly resolved but it is a con of not having onsite staff there 24/7. Also, apparently there is some sort of “glitch” when booking through booking.com with this property. Or at least that’s what I was told. I selected “pay at property” when I initially booked and ended up having the entire cost charged right away, which was fine. But then about 2 weeks later I was refunded that same amount. When I called to clarify before our trip, they went ahead and charged me the total amount again plus a $100 incidental fee. I confirmed multiple times that there would be no additional charges upon check in (because I was already paying for the incidental fee) but sure enough on the day of check in I was charged ANOTHER $100. I reached out to Sonder, got a little push back, but eventually they refunded me the second incidental fee and were kind and apologetic. Just a lot of back and forth and stress.

Love how everything was super easy from checking in to checking out
-
digital key stopped working randomly :(

Also, the neighboring guests were very loud.
-
Check in tech needs some work.

location was great, that you had to pay housekeeping?

Not having a handicap ramp or elevator is challenging for those who need assistance. I was ok carrying luggage up the steps but my sister who had back surgery had difficulty getting up the stairs to room 25 (we reserved a suite for two people and this room was what was assigned).

The room was somewhat remodeled. Location was great. No staff on site. They use an app based service and they do not respond for an hour or two, and when they do they are unhelpful. They sold me parking with no space and when we arrived at 1am there was no place for us to park even though we had prepaid.

Convenience and look and feel and comfort I wouldn't recommend this as a romantic stay because it's not a beach hotel. There's no housekeeping. Floor was sandy when I got there.
-
Great sized room and bathroom. The room was very comfortable. Could not control the TV volume. Could not increase the temperature in the room, it was pretty chilly.
-
You need to handle everything yourself, like taking a photto of your passport, submit it, register your car's licence no for parking all by yourself, etc.. And then the coffee machine in the room is broken and you cannot find anyone to fix it.

Nice décor. I loved the outdoor lounges, perfect for relaxing. The digital key didn’t work properly on my door and one of my friend’s room. Luckily , a staff member happened to be nearby and was able to give me a physical key. I'm glad it didn't occur at night as the reception is closed. The rooms are very small, just fine for a solo traveler, with no space to store luggage. There’s also a lack of privacy due to the large windows. I would’ve appreciated a privacy screen, as I had to keep the blackout curtains closed the entire time, which left the room completely dark.

The style of the room was cool. The bed was comfortable. The location was near the beach. The staff were fantastic. The area was safe and beautiful. The room was quite small so it was hard to open a suitcase on the ground inside the room. There was no gate surrounding the property so anyone could come up to the door of the room.

I loved the location literally just a walk to the beach and it was right of PCH. Limited staff was very interesting. Our first night our shower started to flood because the water wasn’t going down the drain we had to put like 6-7 towels to make sure the water didn’t leak out into the actual room. We contacted the customer service line since it was after hours they said they would send maintenance in the morning, but no one arrived to fix it so before heading out I went to the front desk and told them the situation and they finally got it fixed. I will say it is a nice hotel but the walls are very very thin you can hear every thing your neighbors are doing and I mean everything which made the stay a little difficult to get any sleep.

This was a lovely place to stay. The room was beautifully decorated (I'm an interior designer) as well as comfortable. We paid for parking and glad we did- the lot is right there and I don't know how hard it is for street parking. Although it is across the main road from the ocean, you could see the water from our room and from the sofas and tables out in front. Easy walk to restaurants and shops and to the water. There is an accessible office that has a microwave (fridge in the room), plastic silverware, extra towels and toiletries, etc. Wonderful mattress and pillows. Quiet- even though the hotel was full. We can't wait to go back! Nothing could have been better. It was a perfect stay.
