Everything was wonderful from the minute we stepped in the door. Beautiful old brick building feeling with artful decor. Warm and comfortable. Great restaurant. Friendly staff. Large room with comfy beds. Plush robes. Great free breakfast. Free parking. Best hotel we have stayed at! Highly recommend!

Boutique feel and great room!

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and clean rooms!

Be prepared there are no vending machines at this hotel so if you want a snack, you’re out of luck. Not there there is an expensive hotel downstairs, but we chose not to use it. There was also no water they give you a free bottle of water the first evening, but trying to find ice and water was scarce.

Great all around Artist-vibe in a fully exposed brick, floorboard, and rafters motif (the staff displays professional and guest artwork too). Central air throughout, very clean rooms and ample amenities (wifi, cable, fancy water, microwave, armoire, modern stonework bathroom, citrus themed body/facial body washes, etc), accommodating staff, ample buffet style breakfast ( good coffee!) and sheltered parking, nestled in safe surroundings. Good location for events (e.g., minor league stadium to catch a game) and sm. Business eateries within a walkable radius, + biergarten (Rubber Soul craft brewery & restaurant is opening around the block by October 2026 I hear), including a 1/2-mile+ walk to the farmers market and downtown shopping. If you're athletically inclined, a modern fitness center is on location. Overall, well worth the experience and stay.

This is my favorite hotel in Lancaster. It’s got that rustic but urban feel with the brick walls and wide plank floors if staying in the older portion. It smells wonderful too. The bar has a quiet elegance to savor a nightcap. Food is amazing in the adjacent restaurant though we opted to eat at the bar. Parking is a breeze with their own parking garage. On a nice day it’s an easy walk downtown.

On first glance my room and bathroom looked clean. But alongside the walls and in corners it was visibly dirty where the vacuum cleaner didn't reach. Foul smell came from the pipes. I had to cover drains with towels. Desk Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. Dinner at JJ Jeffrey's restaurant in building was outstanding. Parking was easy.

The staff went well beyond expectations. We went to celebrate my mom’s retirement by traveling on an Amtrak train from New Orleans to Pennsylvania. Once we were in Lancaster we chose this lovely hotel for our stay. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in all aspects. My aunt has stage 4 cancer and had many issues, but they didn’t mind going the extra mile to help us. The manager stayed in touch with us daily to make sure we were all okay and enjoying our stay. She even left a few goodie bags in our hotel for choosing to stay there. Everyone was so helpful with advice and all so friendly. I wish all hotel staff were this amazing. I travel a lot for our business, and in all my years of stays (which are usually 2-5 day stays), I’ve never met a staff that were so friendly, helpful, and amazing as this crew. The owner should be very proud to have such an awesome staff! That includes the maids, helpers, desk clerk, manager, as well as the restaurant and bar staff. I highly recommend this place if you’re traveling through and need a place to stay for the night or even the week. It’s worth the money and the people are awesome! The parking garage is kind of closed in and isn’t a place to wonder alone especially at night. I myself didn’t have any issues, it’s just as all females it made me feel uncomfortable. But me and my sister went together as a pair to load our luggage and then we drove to the front to pick up my mom and aunt. Just for safety reasons. But overall we didn’t have any issues. I just would recommend a double up when going to the car and coming from it if you’re a lady. Otherwise, I really have no complaints.

2. Breakfast included. 3. Restaurant was excellent! 4. Clean. 1. Hard to find dinner on a Monday. 2. Front desk directions to places weren't always clear. 3. Parking was confusing. 4. Slight sewage smell, intermittent.

"A little bit funky" is how I would describe Lancaster Arts Hotel. Definitely different, and all in a good way. My requirements for a stellar hotel always includes: clean, comfortable and quiet, and LAH checked all those boxes. Loved the original art work on the walls. The shrimp bisque, ordered on the recommendation of the bartender, was undoubtedly the best I have ever tasted. All employees were cheerful and helpful. I look forward to staying there in the future.
