Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Lexington North

Front desk was super nice upon check-in. Melissa (I believe was the lady’s name) gave us homemade cookies and was very warm and inviting. Breakfast was delicious. They had a waffle maker, oatmeal bar, several other warm offerings, plus cereal and pastries. I loved that they offered turkey sausage as well as regular (wonderful because I have alpha gal). We will for sure be staying here next time we’re in the area.

Room smell like cigarettes and changed the room which was leaking.

Looking for a quick overnight stay. It was centrally located and close to Louisville Slugger museum. The construction through Louisville right now is a hindrance trying to get around, but that’s not the hotels fault. Just add sometime as you travel around that area.

It did the job for a place to stay for the pm. Hotel was older. Beds weren’t the best. Pull out couch had old pepperonis in it. Little hanger from someone’s new clothes left on floor.

Staff was great!

Breakfast was good, well maintained with many options. Parking was amble. The rooms were clean with nice fluffy pillows. I would only recommend a new mattress.

I really liked the layout of this hotel. Once you parked and went inside, everything you needed was easily accessible without having to go back outside. Our room was conveniently located near the indoor pool, which was a great temperature and perfect for the kids. The breakfast area was excellent, and everything—from the elevators to the main entrance—was thoughtfully laid out. It was an easy hotel to navigate, especially when traveling with several children. The only thing I missed was having vending machines on the guest floors. The hotel does have a market area where you can purchase drinks and snacks, but it would have been convenient to have a vending machine nearby so I could simply send one of the kids with cash instead of going downstairs and using a credit card.

Good clean and comfortable rooms. The gym was decent but a few items were in need of repair.

All over I felt good and safe.

I always trust the Marriott brand and expect to see a clean and inviting hotel. I wasn't disappointed when I walked into the lobby because I could smell that signature Marriott scent. That alone lets me know this is the place to stay. All of that said, I was disappointed with the rest of my stay. As I mentioned, all was well at first, but this Marriott property did not meet my expectations. The room was subpar for a Fairfield or Marriott brand. The furniture looked scuffed and beat up. The lamp had a light bulb that kept flickering, so I unscrewed it. The grab bar in the shower was loose from the bottom, and you could see where it had rusted out in the wall. And, there was only one washcloth supplied! This is NOT up to Marriott standards!!!
