Residence Inn by Marriott Detroit Livonia

The staff here are really nice and friendly. They help with things they can and were quick to greet me with a smile. The breakfast was included and it was a hot buffet style. The food was actually pretty good even though it was just standard hotel stuff; biscuits and gravy, those cubes of potatoes, yogurt, etc. it was just prepared with more care and was nice and hot. The issues with this hotel are all to do with the building. It's really falling apart and several things were just straight up broken.

Great Customer Service.

This is an older hotel. The door to the Lobby was being worked on when we pulled up to check in. Once in our room we had to call the front desk for hair conditioner, body wash, dish soap, several things that the cleaning staff should be checking when they clean the room. The key pad near our room was broken,therefore we had to walk the long way around every time. The courtyard was not well maintained. The basketball court was ok. The grass area had caution tape around it. I can go on but just call to verify things are in proper working order or condition if you have preferences.

The room smelled like smoke when we walked in. There was Pubic hair on bathroom floor when we first arrived, some kind of black smudgy stuff on the pull out table in living room, curtains and one door. One of the bedroom doors was cracked and hobbled together and made a horrible cracking sound when you shut the door for privacy and opened it back up. Kitchen cupboards were hobbled together (apparently they were broken previously. Looked like people were living in the hotel. Our keycard quit working and we asked the housekeeper to let us in the room, which she did, but she acted like she would’ve preferred to be anywhere else, when we thanked her, she just walked away. Front desk personnel were very friendly, the only nice thing about the stay!!

If you are looking for just this side of seedy, this is your place!

The Elevator was not working, had to carry things 3 flights. Our card key would not work at the end where the stairs were. The hall's and entryways smelled of marijuanna. We were charged for parking, not customary at most hotel's in the area. Would not recommend this property to anyone.

The door handle in my room was dirty

It was great apart from my ac not working on my last two days and no one actually fixing the issue.

My check in experience was not acceptable. Took almost two hours ! Was all around an issue with the payment from Expedia to the hotel. No management was available to assist. Very disappointed

Has cockroaches They downgraded our room from a suite to a queen

Breakfast was great. The room was great size and reasonably priced. The location was terrific. The bed was like sleeping on rocks. I purchased mattress toppers so we could sleep because there was no way to sleep on that bed.

Everything was bad. The hotel room smelled. The bathroom smelled like weed. The AC was broken and they had a portable AC which was taped together and barely working. The worst hotel experience of my life.

Property needsa complete refurbishment. Broken elevators and AC. Well worn interior spaces. Breakfast was nothing special

The hotel and room doesn't look like the way it is presented in the pictures. The property looks old and the room lighting is dull.

It was clean, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Room furnishings and fixtures are very tired and old, lampshade was broken, no outlets or phone chargers near bed, both the sink and the bathtub were clogged and draining slowly, dishwasher not unloaded

Room was clean and as described… property was busy but was quiet. Will book again
