Towneplace Suites By Marriott Detroit Livonia

I checked in on Thursday. Had to work at job site late first day, I didn't get back until late. Got settled in and the TV didn't work, we to call the front desk and the phone didn't work, so I called from my cell phone, no answer. This hotel is not all one building. It's multiple buildings. So I walked over to the front desk building. Staff was sitting by the phone. I let it be known, both issues were fixed next day. Friday night I went to sit in the office chair at the desk and it was a broken chair. Let the front desk know Sat morning, they said they would replace it and it was still broken Sat night. I checked out Sunday with the chair still broken. I used to manage choice hotels. This is a Marriott over a $100 a night. I thought it's gotta be somewhat decent. It was unsatisfied.

cons: no hot shower, rooms very outdated and didn’t feel super clean, room key didn’t work, had to be let into our room ever time, not their fault but very inconvenient

Needs an air conditioner in every room, the room they gave me didn’t have air conditioning in it. Although I appreciate that they did give me another room for the inconvenience.

Can't believe this is s marriot property.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, our room was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Our air conditioner barely worked, pool is outside and very small, the cooktop was damaged, the couch had crumbs in the cracks. The cart broke for our luggage to be carried on. Key machine didn’t work, so we couldn’t get one. The employees had to let us in the room every time we left out. Too many issues for $200 a night. Was disappointed, but the employees were very nice and helpful at say the least. And the breakfast was decent.

Very helpful staff, especially with having a service dog.

Well could have been much more accommodating to my needs.

Very nice place as usual.

When we first checked in, they said they didn’t have our room available. I had booked two bedroom suite for my daughter’s birthday. They told me that they sold my room to someone else even though I booked it two months ahead of time. After arguing with them, they finally decided to give me the original room that I booked, but it was very stressful. The room itself had a great layout and was big enough to accommodate the girls, but the hotel is old and the room was a little dirty. There was hair stuck to the walls in the bathroom and the carpet didn’t look real clean and the sofa bed was really old and had rips.

Room was excellent great view of the pool and very nice amenities including the kitchen. Staff were nice and breakfast had a good selection.

The room wasn't very clean. The bathroom shower was clogged and water stood around your feet while showering. There were large crumbs on the microwave stand, and rust inside the microwave. The housekeeping cart was abandoned and sat in the 2nd floor hallway for two days.

They supposedly have quiet hours but we couldn’t sleep because our neighbors were loud!!! Had a couple bugs in the bed (ants) . Couldn’t even sleep well. $3 to park??? WHY????? They don’t even give a parking pass or anything so how would they know???? Would not recommend.

Proximity to amenities. Very helpful staff. Decent room for brief stay. Nice, thoughtful goody bag!
