The Queen Mary

Really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean, well taken care of, and the staff was kind and helpful. I do recommend bringing a small portable fan if you like white noise and air circulation in the room. The window opens up but it doesn’t provide enough air circulation imo. Will stay again though! The paranormal tour at night was excellent as well.

The Queen Mary is fantastic. The only negative was the front desk staff when we checked in. They weren't the most friendly and/or helpful. However, the rest of the staff was fantastic. We had a drink at the Observation bar and dinner at the Chelsea Chowder House. Both were fantastic. People who stay on the ship can take the tours at no cost. Very with a stay

Although the ship is very old she has the vintage beautiful I love. She offers an experience back into time with minimal modern day distractions.

Really good

First off everyone was required to park off site and wait in the scorching heat for a shuttle bus. We're were finally able to get on the 3rd shuttle but not able to bring all of our luggage. We required a handicap room, we do not have wheelchair, we were assigned to 508 (handicap) way way way back in the back of the ship. Completely unable to enjoy all the amenities due to exhaustion from the walk just to get to the elevator. Yes, it had a back door one flight up to the exterior deck. Yay, until they locked it and we were forced to walk back to the elevator. I will never stay there again... Handicapped room my back side

The staff was overall pretty great. Everything went smoothly and my wife had a great time. My wife had a nightmare she was being harassed by the ghost a little girl and a man in an old military uniform and she woke up screaming.

Clean room, great staff, amazing bar.

Fun for kids old and young. Always nostalgic for us adults. Older kids love the night ghost tour. Little kids love being able to walk around the exterior of ship, captain's bridge and see the helm and both ends of the boat. Great fun for an overnight stay. We were on our way back home to San Diego after cheering on our nieces at sports tournament in OC. We thought to overnight it on the Queen would be fun for the kids that have never been on her. We wanted to skate at Juniper Beach later the next day and stroll around the shopping area across the ship on the other side of the water. Everyone enjoyed themselves. No game room/arcade for kids. A movie theater would have been nice. An outdoor pool, bar and hot tubs would have also been nice esp on that big deck on located to the back of thd ship. We would have stayed longer.

Its literally a ship! So fun. They always had an activity going and there is a speakeasy! You have to find it!

Classic elegance

The Queen Mary is not a luxury, name-brand resort. You are staying aboard a 90+ year-old ocean liner. It’s clear that an effort is being made to preserve the public spaces excellently. The private hallways and rooms showed some wear and tear. We found our accommodations to be very clean. We stayed in a standard porthole room, which was a verynice space, and the bathroom was larger than we anticipated. The portholes are very small, so the room is darker than a normal hotel room, but very typical of a ship from 90 years ago! The lighting was very appropriate for a short stay. One of the highlights of our stay was exploring the ship. We took the complimentary Embarkation Tour, and I highly recommend it. It gave us a much better appreciation for the Queen Mary's history and significance. There is so much to see that I would encourage visitors to give themselves plenty of time to wander. We had lunch at the Promenade Café, which offered a fun selection of gourmet salads, sandwiches, and entrées. For dinner, we ate at The Chelsea, and I have to say —

Not clean

We had dinner on board at Chelsea chowder house it was really good. The speak easie was fun also. It's was over 90 degrees and the AC was not working. It was miserable to say the least. All so the never notified us that the would be having an event in there parking lot until the day we arrived, meaning we had to park off site. This made for exhausting after noon.

I liked the location, the paranormal tour, the history, staff were very friendly, my room was cool. The prices were a little high but I understand that goes towards the ship upkeep.

It was a great experience

The front desk girl is very rude and she could learn some people skills. Everyone else we encountered were great, from the bellman to the bartenders and waiters.
