AC Hotel Downtown Los Angeles, a Marriott Hotel

I’m glad I booked a room here because I enjoyed the experience. The staff was helpful and the room was comfortable with a great view.

Very nice place, a bit slow on check in, but overall great place. Lounges and restaurants were great. Valet was excellent

The breakfast was shocking and ridiculously over priced Room was small, staff apart from the meet valets were ordinary and the breakfast staff were just there to pick up a pay check. The pricing of a sub par hotel with a dreadful breakfast is ludicrous .

I hate that Expedia gave a price and the hotel took it upon themselves to charge 208.50 more than what was agreed upon.

Clean The food

The location was perfect, literally right across from the LA convention center / car show i was in town for. The high floor lobby and restaurants / patio area had great views! At first that its 2 hotels under 1 roof/building, but once I understood and figured it out it was actually pretty cool.

The hotel is new, modern, and has beautiful high-floor views. Unfortunately, that was about the only positive part of our stay. This was an extremely disappointing stay and one of the worst hotel experiences I have had recently. First, we had NO usable cold water for the shower at night. Even when turned completely to cold, the water was extremely hot — so hot that it was uncomfortable and felt unsafe to shower. We called the hotel about the problem, but it was never resolved during our stay. The checkout experience was also terrible. We waited around 20 minutes just to reach the front desk. By that point, approximately 16–17 guests were waiting behind us. There were only three staff members at the desk, and despite the long line, one of them left the desk. There was very little sense of urgency or concern for the guests waiting. Then there were the billing problems. An additional $136.11 charge was attempted on my credit card and was only stopped because Chase’s fraud detection system declined it. When I brought this up at checkout, the front desk told me that an employee the previous night had apparently processed the deposit/charge twice. I then had to wait even longer while they tried to figure out their own billing mistake. Parking was another disappointment. There is no hotel self-parking option, so you either have to use a nearby public parking facility or the hotel’s valet. The valet parking is expensive, and my folio initially showed the daily parking charge twice before one of the duplicate charges was reversed. On top of that, you should request your vehicle at least 15 minutes before you actually need it. For a Marriott-branded property, the combination of an unusable shower, poor response to the problem, extremely slow checkout, billing mistakes, and inconvenient parking was unacceptable. The building and views may look impressive, but the actual guest experience was extremely poor. I would not stay here again. If you only want a high-floor view of Los Angeles, the property has that. Otherwise, based on my experience, I cannot recommend it.

Nice hotel. Comfortable room. Going to 34th floor to check in was weird. Didn’t get new towels one day. Liked cold bottled water in refrigerator. Nice staff. AC didn’t seem to be very strong. Good bed and pillows. TV/entertainment options were nice.

Amazing staff The parking situation

AC Hotel Downtown Los Angeles just might be my favorite hotel ever. I’ve stayed here 4 times before and it gets better with every stay. The staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. The property itself is absolutely stunning, and the view from the rooms are amazing. The hotel restaurants are a bit pricey, but the food and beverage credits make up for it! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and was a great way to start off my birthday!

She was trying to charge me the room that I had previously paid for in advance months ago. She started arguing with me until I showed her my confirmation. She had to email her manager this took over 30 minutes to check in.

Better signage to negotiate several elevators for various hotel floors and restaurants.

Uhh it was okay, the location is convenient because it’s a 3 min walk from crypto, but the rooms were kinda small, but cute overall, they have a lot to do in the hotel itself.. 6/10

My room was modern with a great view of LA. The bed was super comfy and nice. There was a lot of space to spread out and do work. Centrally located with a metro stop less than 5 min away. The Bistro attached to the hotel was had some really good food and evening staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a weird smell in the room which I could not place. Housekeeping wasn’t great. they didn’t change out the towels i left on the floor and instead hung them back up with clean towels which I’ve never known a hotel to do. My interactions with staff was hit or miss, some were very friendly and others didn’t even greet me, that was not nice. There’s also an $18 food credit which was never clearly explained to me how it worked. So just be careful, if you don’t charge food to your room you will not get the credit. also breakfast was super expensive (~$40)for basic food. you have to pay extra if you want bacon or a sausage which was insane. Lastly, the area is very sketchy and bit scary b/c of the addicts hanging around.

The hotel was just OK, it’s a real pain in the butt though to have to take two different elevators just to get to your room.
