Disappointing

And this is a huge prostitution hotel. Prostitutes constantly up and down in the elevators. And a horrible part of town. My fiance almost got robbed at the 711 a couple blocks away after the concert we went to. The staff ultimately made things right with us and I am happy about that. But we would never stay here again.

Overall stay was so nice!

Rooms were smaller than anticipated and wouldn’t recommend for a tourist stay, however, the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean! :)

The hotel has a great atmosphere with delicious restaurants, trendy nightlife, offers a lot of accommodations in a great location! I appreciated the hotel hospitality and the room was very clean. The continental breakfast was a very clunky process because it is at a public cafe that didn’t have record of my edibility or of any food/beverage credits. It caused much confusion between me, front desk staff, and cafe staff. The pastries and breakfast sandwiches looked good but flies were inside the cabinet. I’ve seen better continental breakfasts and was extremely disappointed since the Moxy Hotel has a 4-Star rating. I didn’t need the in and out parking, so I passed on valet and did self parking instead. I was not accepting that I would have to walk down the street with our suitcase and belongings. The entire self parking was dreadful. I also found it extremely difficult to get the 15% of drinks at the eight listed restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. Bartenders and staff are way too busy when I was trying to request this discount for hotel guests. I couldn’t believe that each drink averaged $25 before tip. I think the rooms are too expensive for the size and what is included. However, we had an overall nice experience in DTLA and would like to give the Moxy another opportunity in the future!

The location, near the Metro Line. Modern style and decor. The rooms are extremely small. No mini fridge or complimentary water bottles in the rooms. Walls are thin, I could hear the neighbors in the next room. The parking is valet only and costs $70. No self/ overnight parking.

Room was small, but CLEAN. Charging outlets didn't work. I also didn't like that there wasn't a room service option. After traveling, I didn't feel like walking next door to utilize my food credit. There is a club/DJ. The music was so loud that I could not hear the TV in my room, let alone rest. This certainly isn't a place for older travelers wanting to relax in peace. But I should've done more research. Overall, a nice hotel and great location for someone who enjoys the nightlife.

The room itself was also not in acceptable condition. The door would not completely close properly, which was a major concern and made me uncomfortable from a safety standpoint. I had to ask one of the maids to close the door. On top of that, the toilet seat was broken which further added to the poor condition of the room and made the overall experience even more disappointing. Between the double charge at the hotel restaurant, the lack of a proper resolution to the billing issue, the door that would not close completely, and the broken toilet seat, this stay was far below what I expected from a hotel. What was most disappointing was not only that these problems occurred, but also how they were handled when I brought them to the hotel’s attention. I expected the hotel to take responsibility for the billing error, address the room maintenance issues. I left feeling very dissatisfied with the overall service and condition of the room.

I love how close you are to pretty much everything. The staff are really friendly, even on event days. That’s pretty rare nowadays. There’s really not much to like about the property if i’m being honest.

I definitely feel like I should've gotten housekeeping services every day for what I paid for, but aside from that, I had a decent stay. I wish I could've gotten a room away from the elevator and the door to the stairwell, as that was annoying to hear at night sometimes. Also, the airflow in the room was not the best, so it got warm in there sometimes.

Just what I expected very nice will definitely stay again.
