Best Western Lubbock West Inn & Suites

It’s close to all the places I go. This time, someone had left a rock in the back South door, so the lock to get in wasn’t working. But both elevators worked this time. Didn’t need ice (last time only one worked).

The location Didn't like that we did not get house keeping the first day. The second day got house keeping but they didn't bring us any bath towels, just wash clothes. The bed was worn out it had a sunken hole. Elevator was out of order .

Left before breakfast, next time we will stay longer

Stains on the towels. No alarm clock in the room. No phone, no way to contact the front desk from the room. Had to ask for towels to be put out by the pool. Pool furniture all covered in bird crap.

This place once shined a long time ago, you can tell. It’s pretty run down, it’s not fancy so don’t expect it to be. The beds are rough, everything just looks rough. However, I was looking for something wallet friendly. I wasn’t going to be in the room very long, just needed a place to sleep. I stayed here two nights. Beds are rough, pillows are thin, sofa bed was run down. Kitchen had nothing, not even soap so don’t expect it. Sheets were clean, bed was made when I came back, AC worked. Elevators terrified me, they shake and rattle. But the room was clean I didn’t see any mice poop or roaches so that’s a plus. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. Overall it filled my needs but I was ready to leave.

Elevator were clearly not operating correctly. 1 fell a foot when reaching the top. The other mad grinding noise. The elevators, the smell of marijuana all in the hall ways.

The pool was real nice

The bathtub and floor tile need to be updated.

1) Three floors and no working ice machines. 1st Floor may have been working until some folks decided their ice chest needed filled. 2nd floor has an area for the ice machine, but there is none. 3rd floor has a broken ice machine. How about posting a sign that ice chests are not to be filled? How about fixing the inoperative ice machines? 2) the side door sticks and cannot be opened from the outside. It must be opened from the inside and requires some force to do so. 3) One waste basket in the suite, located in the kitchen. The suite also needs one in the bathroom and perhaps one in the bedroom. 4) Whomever designed the toilet area, never bothered to test the pressurized toilet in an enclosed space. The noise is deafening.

It appears that they have started a remodel job but did not complete the job. Public areas looked good. One of our rooms look good but the other room had a sagging bed and no other place to sit other than the bed. There was room for a couch and desk but neither were present. Water pressure in the second room was also lacking due to an old shower head.

Nice stay always clean room nice staff

Nice comfortable bed, plenty of pillows. Hot breakfast that I went to the lobby to get for myself. I took the plate to my room to eat my breakfast and continue listening to the news.

Bed was broken. Shades were broken. Some nasty thing on window sill. Fridge smelled like pickle juice. Shower did not work. Never again. Giving up on Best Western after.

My daughter checked in before me on the afternoon and my flight wouldn’t arrive in Lubbock until late in the night and when I arrived The Room #103 given to us had a beep sound that wouldn’t stop, so I requested to change room immediately or we couldn’t sleep but on the new room #127 the bathroom tub was full of rust, the curtain not very clean and the shower was hard to make it work. In the morning, the breakfast buffet out on the lobby had flys all over it. Was going to stay for a couple nights but left in the first morning. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone, very poorly managed almost abandoned.

It was a great stay but a few cosmetic things are needed in the bathrooms. Updated fixtures are needed and better parking arrangements.

I was charged someone else’s room , as you walk in hotel smells . Wall are all full of plaster , damn walls , Damaged security back door . Ac didn’t work

The hotel is nice, very comfortable bed and great air conditioning. A must in Lubbock. The pool is really nice. Needs some umbrellas. Bathroom is ok. Needs some updating. Front elevator makes some scary noises but works well. Convenient location and priced well. Some rooms have balconies overlooking the pool.
