Super 8 by Wyndham Lubbock West

1. Room was not ready when checked in at 3:00. 1.5 hrs to be cleaned 2. Sheets were not changed .. just fixed.. as they were late in cleaning it.. possibly, couldn’t change the sheets. 3. Lack of lighting in room.. had to change lightbulbs while in room!! 4. Amenities… not tissue, tiny shampoos n conditioner.. not enough.. seemed, previously used or left over! 5. Elevators were not working.. and no staff to help with the bags.. 6. Waiting lounge, stairs and breakfast areas; unclean .. very dirty old furniture.. and unpleasant smell. 7. Breakfast was pathetic! 8. Complaint to Manager .. he mentioned lack of staff, still poor management overall. One night was more than enough to stay in such place!!

Had trouble with the key cards they would disactivate very easily.

Room was clean, just smelled like pets.

I booked in advance and drove over eight hours from houston. When I arrived at the front desk to check in, they had cancelled my reservation without notifying me.

The price was right Elevator was sketchy. Breakfast was bleak. Wasn’t as clean as I would like.

Our room was dusty, the floor was sticky, the shower wall had a crack in it and was causing water to leak out onto the floor. We had one decaf coffee, the shower had a dirty towel left behind on the shower head. My son found keys and wrappers behind the curtains. The bathroom still smelled like urine the walls were stained from spills. Toe nail clippings around the end table between both beds. Sheets had not been changed, bottom box springs on both beds heavily stained. We decided to leave and not stay at this facility. Employees at the front desk reassure themselves that rooms are inspected before they are available for bookings. It was not.

Negatives: A/C in room leaked water--a lot of it. Freezer compartment was so frosty I couldn't fir my small cold packs in it. Wifi signal.was.so weak I could not do anything online. Spa was closed, and apparently has been for a long time. Had I known that in advance, I wouldn't have booked here; that's a really important amenity for me after a long day of driving.

Parking

The location was perfect for us. Staff was nice The breakfast was a little disappointing. As for the room it was dirty. The bathroom looked like it hadn’t been swept. Around the back of the bed the amount of dust and hair was gross. Also it’s a nonsmoking and I love that but definitely can tell someone else has smoked in there. Last thing around the smoke detector had some type of paper or clay to stop it from going off ?

The entrance was clean. Breakfast was ok. There were candy crumbs on the bed and the sheets were dirty. We didn’t have a good coffee pot, it was missing the part that holds the coffee filter. The bathroom floor was dirty and there was a big greasy/sticky spot on the floor by the bed leaking out from underneath the bed.
