Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lubbock West by IHG

Checked in, either the staff that checked me in nor the one who was working overnights could get my w room key. Had to be escorted to my room twice. Very awkward. Two other concerns: bathroom in room 320 had mold under the soap holder in the shower. Sheets in the bed had sand/dirt in them. Likely not changed from last stay.

I love this hotel because of the cleanliness and the breakfast. The mattress was great too! The staff was friendly, kind, and helpful. I had stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed it so much, I decided to stay two extra nights! I did discover that my key did not work the first night. It turns out that if your phone is next to the key, it will deactivate your key. Keep your hotel key separate from your phone. When I returned from an evening out, I always went to the front desk to activate it. My favorite staff person is Tim.

Common areas smelled bad’ i had to relocate rooms because the room i was in had a bad ammonia smell in the restroom. Front entrance was full of bird droppings’

I wish the AC units were quieter, but it seems every hotel has that problem.

Room was clean, staff was efficient and friendly. Breakfast was good, but one coffee machine was non-operational for a time. Speaking of coffee, I'm pretty sure this was the first hotel I've stayed in that only had in room coffee on request. The placard said (and I'm paraphrasing) plastic stir sticks are not eco-friendly.

Nice room. I didnt like the bed being too high and toilet seat too low. Breakfast was great. Lots of selections. I was only there for a short time so I didn't use the amenities. Friendly staff.

The staff is amazing! The room was absolutely perfect and very clean. The beds were in fantastic condition and clean!!! The breakfast was great!!!

Excellent staff, very clean and comfortable

The clerk waived the $50 fee because we did not look like troublemakers and it was midnight and we were leaving early. What a dumb policy. Perhaps you should change the policy based on the age of the people checking in.
