Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Lubbock South by IHG

Ground floor end-of-hall Exit Door had a hand-made sign that read “This door is out of Service”. Illegal! Breakfast staff member left her area unattended to go next door to LaQuinta to borrow a gallon of milk. While creative, it showed more unpreparedness. Ground floor carpet was terrible. Huge wrinkles the entire lengths of the halls indicated water damage - but worse: they are a trip hazard for Seniors. Could not recommend

Checking in was good but when I went to my room it had a strange smell then I went downstairs to my car and the alarm was going off for over 30 min the ice machine didn’t work on level 2. Upon check out I waited to hand the key to the girl who wasn’t working she was in the back chatting and when she finally came out she said you could of put it in there and I said yeah I know why can’t you take it? She was super rude and because of the things I came across I will NOT come back to this location and I travel a lot for work this will be a lot of money they will miss out on.

Nothing. The hotel was dirty and the staff was rude. We were given 2 different rooms both of which were not clean. One had pieces of glass on the floor. The second one had dirty carpet, towels, sheets and smelled horrible. Then after complaining about the 2nd dirty room the front desk lady yelled at us and the manager called the police and had us thrown out.

We only had a brief stay. All was well, but the carpeting throughout was uneven and on the 2nd floor, particularly, looked as if it had been somehow stretched out of shape, maybe water samage.

The room definitely wasn’t the cleanest at all, front seemed annoyed checking me in so I didn’t even care to ask to freshen it up. The best part was the pool was working. Breakfast was decent I enjoyed the variety.

Staff was very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was better than most I have had in the area.

Tile was broken in the bathroom. Old towels that were falling apart. Sink would back up. It’s run down from previous stays a few years ago.

Comfortable bed and room. Toilet needed to be fixed. Clean shower.

I got in around 3 am, I had called ahead to let them know and they were so accommodating, especially the night clerk working when I got there. Definitely would recommend.

We had a slight mix-up on the room when we got there but the staff booked us another room. The stay was great while there and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed out stay and will definitely stay the next time we are in town.

Air conditioning unit leaking on the carpet.dresser drawer wouldn’t stay shut, several electrical outlets wouldn’t work correctly and drain in bathroom leaked and couldn’t take a bath. Toilet paper holder broke. Not the best stay from my experiences with Holiday Inns

Convenient to interstate and Loop. The area is a little bit questionable.
