La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lubbock South

The room was super clean and comfortable, very spacious with useful amenities such as functioning laundry equipment.

Pretty new hotel but our room had two lamps that completely bend. I straightened them out but housekeeping should not let this happen. Breakfast was fairly typical and nothing special.

Clean room but elevator and common areas were dirty. Plain Jane but felt safe and was fine

Checked in on Thursday and checked out on Sunday. This is the second year in a row during a yearly visit home to Lubbock where the pool was closed due to maintenance issues. Friday, slept in and did not request cleaning or bath towel service, requested do not disturb. Saturday morning I requested towel service and room cleaning. Was with family all day in Lubbock then returned around 11:30 pm to find room was not cleaned nor were there new bath towels. Called the front desk to request fresh bath towels and was told to go downstairs to pick them up. What ever happened to the hospitality in the hospitality service industry? The hotel is in need of someone from LA Quinta Corporate to look into the condition of the property, possibly unannounced to observe the owner and the staff and the current conditions. I am not a complainer by any means, but I found this experience to be unacceptable this time.

The hallway ac on every floor accept the lobby floor were not working, the pool was closed the entire stay, and the side facade of the building had fallen off as well. Rooms were nice, staff was helpful, but there were some issues that need to be fixed.

I didn’t like the fact that there was no hand soap or lotion in the room. There was not a suitcase stand. The air conditioner, no matter how we adjusted it, almost froze us. Other than the breakfast area, the entire hotel reminded me of a Motel 6. The carpets needed a good cleaning. The building on the sides need to be refurbished.

The staff is outstanding and work hard to satisfy the requests of their guests. Excellent breakfast! Clean, very, clean rooms.

We stayed for 3 nights and never had our room cleaned. We also had to go get our own fresh towels. The rooms were nice and the location was good. The food that was covered was good.

The hotel didn’t seem dirty or anything but there was a good amount of flies in the lobby and a couple buzzing in my room that I spent quite a bit of time trying to address so I could get some rest.

Love La Quinta, but was a little confused that the whole pool was only 2 ft deep. I've never seen that before and was disappointed after looking forward to a swim
