My Place Hotel - Lubbock, TX

Good rates. Overall it's clean and quiet. Staff is very helpful!!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not do breakfast in bed, but it was a good concept.

The front office personnel was very nice and happy to help with anything.

Really nice all around! Nice big grassy area outside for walking the dogs, extremely clean, feels safe, SUPER comfortable beds, soft towels, full fridge, microwave, and even stove top/hot plate; full size coffee maker in room but no provided coffee (but good coffee available in little lounge room). Staff was very nice and clearly making big efforts to welcome and accomodate guests.

This was a nice budget, friendly hotel that was located an easy access area

We had called ahead to inform the hotel we would be a very late check in, when we arrived at the property the front desk attendant said she was expecting us and already had our room pulled up and ready for us to finish the check in. She did have to apologize for elevators being broken but someone was there servicing them and trying to get them fixed. Other than the unforeseen elevator problem our stay was great. Room was clean, beds were comfy and quiet.

Melissa at the front desk was great. Hotel is in great shape. The room smelled a little funny but I think it is whatever they use to clean. The bed was comfortable but squeaky. Pillows were good. Overall great stay for the price.

The hotel was okay, I have 3 major complaints. First and most significantly is the price gouging. Our rate for Tuesday was $94, but jumped to $339 for Friday night for the same room due to Tech graduation. This is a Ridiculous ripoff!!! Second, the hotel has NO ice machine. Ice is ONLY available via the ice maker in the fridge. It was empty when we entered the room, and it took 5 hours for the first batch of 10 cubes to drop. Thus we had to buy ice in order to have ice. Third, while the rooms are plenty large enough, they only have queen beds. A king bed would be much appreciated. Again, the main complaint is the OUTRAGEOUS price gouging.

Checkin was easy. Parking good. The room was very clean and spacious. Kitchenette sink faucet could use some tightening. Staff always goes above and beyond to help and make us feel welcome. Coffee is always hot and good. Will stay again.
