Extended Stay America Select Suites - Madison - Old Sauk Rd.

There was pee on the toilet seat in our room and the table tops were sticky. They moved up a second room and the tables were not cleaned there either. They gave us sanitizing wipes to clean them. We were told we'd get a discount at checkout. They didn't do that and haven't returned my calls.

Nothing There was no ice machine or didn't have coffee or anything like most hotels have.

Location was good for proximity to my clients facilities and for food and grocery stores. Facilities are in a poor condition. It's an older facility and hasn't been well maintained, probably why it so cheap compared with other companies. Walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbours at all hours. Carpets smelled off dog urine as pets are allowed and I guess they don't clean the carpets well after pets have stayed. The range was almost as old as I am and that's old and couldn't control temperatures for cooking! Be warned the rooms have absolutely no crockery or pots and pans. You can buy them but that's expensive and still doesn't give you everything you need. Room also smelled musty and I had a lot of allergic reactions probably due to mold somewhere. I got trapped there as there were never any openings at other long stay hotels during my visit or I would have moved.

Not much It was a little run down. Felt very dirty. Had a strong odor of cigarettes.

Smelled like weed every time you walk in the door. Entering the room it smelled like someone had been vaping for a long time.

Couch bed had no sheets Ripped curtains No coffee or water Oily face / palm prints on the window Amenities- one broken soap bar+ ripped towels Shower barely working But the worst part is staff: don’t pick up the phone , nasty attitude. Right at 11 knocked multiple times telling us that we needed to check out, followed by a phone call stating:” Are you checking out or what ?”

I like the location. It is near parks for walking my dog. I don't like that there are no recycling bins. I would like bins for glass, metal cans, aluminum cans, and paper. I don't like to put those items in the dumpster.

Size of the room and location of the hotel Unavailability of advertised amenities, hot tub, damaged walls , noise disturbances, but most importantly , dishonesty and fraudulent claims by the hotel manager , P.C. for a refund if I vacated the hotel earlier than my original reservation .

I love staying there the staff is excellent I had no complaints

Clean room and comfortable bed. Entire facility and room smelled heavily of Marijuana. The smell was in the carpet in my hotel room as well. Additionally, although there was a galley kitchen, there were no cups, utensils, or even a small coffee maker.

Price The terrible smell. They also did not have any shampoo.

The person who checked me in couldn't find my reservation for several minutes and then took several more minutes to finish process.

The place was quiet, but outdated. This Extended stay does not have anything in any of the kitchens. You can walk a block to the next Extended stay to get your morning coffee. I did find out at checkout that you can get kitchen items from the nearby Extended stay and bring back to your room.

Booking was for two nights, we left after the first night. The building smelled bad, the room looked nothing like pictures. Got a room with full of cigarettes/weed odor instead of non smoking. Sofa bed was dirty and extremely uncomfortable with nearly just springs, barely had any cushion. Bathroom lights went out in the middle of the night.
