Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Madison South

It was great!

Jose, the night auditor, was super friendly and knowledgeable. The bathroom in our room left a lot to be desired. Hair all over the toilet, shower, and floor. The tile work was shoddy at best. Lot of chipped tiles and entrance to the shower was full of that pink slimy mold. We were exhausted from traveling or probably would’ve asked for a new room. The sheets were clean and we just wanted to sleep. Breakfast was great the next day. Lot of options I wasn’t expecting.

Good place to stay, clean well kept

The room was fine. Our issue was we were there 5 days and housekeeping did not come in one time to clean our room. We took our trash out ourselves. We had kids so lot of trash. I had to go get towels from front desk and put my used ones in the hallway. We had girls. We ran out of shampoo and toilets paper. Again we had girls. They swam every day. I ask why our room was not clean and the desk clerk said he had no idea….. This was an expensive week due to the USTA national trampoline and tumble event. I did see housekeeping doing other rooms but it was when weree leaving for the event.

Room was clean and large. The parking was ample and close to the building. We didn’t use any of the amenities. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. Only the prepackaged food was edible and those choices weren’t very healthy (lots of sugar).

Tracy at the front desk was exceptional! The pool needed cleaned.

We arrived an hour early and we were allowed to check in and the room was so nice, don't need to bring any toiletries because it was all there. A makeup removal wipe was included and I was very pleased as I had forgotten my own and I don't like sleeping with makeup on. The bed was comfortable and everyone was very pleasant. Once we checked in I received a txt from the front desk asking if everything was in order, if the room was to our liking, and to let them know if there was anything else they could help with. I would stay here again anytime I am in Madison! One thing that was off putting was the water. From the faucet, when making in room coffee, the water had a taste that carried to my coffee. It happens to a lot of hotels I have stayed in, but if I have to say something bad, this would be it.

Breakfast was better than expected. Check in easy and fast.

A very pleasant stay

Nice room with friendly staff. Well located and easy parking.

Restaurants and shops not within walking distance, but easy access downtown, to west side and Monona. Worked for my needs. Continental breakfast, a couple car charging stations. TV and shower worked

Very quick work trip. Hotel was clean and staff was very helpful. 10/10 will stay here again for future work trips.

I feel like this hotel was rebranded to a Fairfield. The rooms are very narrow and the shower is as well. Small bathroom but redone nicely. The air conditioning unit wasn’t overly loud. Close to city where it isn’t worth paying the price for parking at city hotels. Beds are on the hard side, pillows are ok.

I did not use the gym/swimming pool due to my hectic schedule.

Was the quick stay for me - was in only for a few hours late in the night. The room was clean but I was given a mobility accessible room instead of a standard king room. Since I checked in super late around 1 AM, I was too tired to go and request for a different room. Only highlight for me was the gym.
