Hilton Madison Monona Terrace

We've stayed here the past few years and have always enjoyed the hotel and the area around it. The staff is friendly and helpful; the rooms are spacious and clean and everything we want to do is within walking distance!

The stay was good, although...

Check in was fine, except for instructions on parking. The hotel was so understaffed for the event. Not enough desk clerks or wait staff in dining room. At least a 45 minute wait to share a hamburger and get a drink. The room was lovely and clean, so redemption points here. I doubt I'll ever stay here again, despite my loyalty to Hilton.

Great location beautiful hotel, very clean and well maintained

Bar didn’t open until 5:00 which was a little disappointing. You also have to pay $29 for parking. All the staff was friendly. Nice hotel.

Great location, very well appointed and clean rooms. I had a problem with the TV and they came within 5 minutes of calling to resolve it. Highly recommend!

We had a beautiful view of the Lake and the terrace in the back along the lake was amazing, a nice view of the State Capital and walking distance to many places to eat and shop .

After a long day, I finally arrived at hotelonlu to learn that they had overbooked themselves and had no room available for me. I'm a long time guest at this hotel over many years. I definitely won't be staying there agaon.

Please check cleanliness of the ledges around the restaurant.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location, and wonderful staff. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. We were there for an event near the Capital and our room overlooked the lake. Took a walk on the terrace and had easy access to our event. Staff was so kind when I lost my parking ticket, (which I found later)! My first and only choice when I come back

The breakfast

The room wasn’t very clean. They didn’t wipe any surfaces before we checked in. The nightstands were caked in dust. They only gave us one towel with four people on our reservation so I think they just forgot to replenish. The pullout sofa was very small. Not even the size of a twin bed, so that was unexpected. The location is fantastic and great that they offer parking. Lobby was welcoming, clean, and stylish. We were just very disappointed in the cleanliness and had us second guessing what else they didn’t clean or change out.

The air in our room was not working. They did have someone come and try to fix it - it stopped working again in the middle of the night. Not pleasant sleeping at all.

Perfect location, nice large room, beautiful views of the lake. The beds, chair and couch were comfortable and there was a good desk where you can work. There was a bedside table on only one side of the bed, no charging outlet near my side of the bed, no reading lamp on my side of the bed.

Great stay! The president suite was amazing! The jacuzzi was a nice touch.
