Super 8 by Wyndham Madison South

Room floor was so sticky and clearly not cleaned. I didn’t want to remove shoes. Bathroom not clean. There was toilet paper stuck in the door jamb of the bathroom wall to replace the rubber stopper. The lobby and rooms smelled terrible. Beds and sheets were clean tho. We checked out early. Staff were friendly tho.

Hot tub had alot of sand in the bottom of it.

While the staff was lovely, and the bedding appeared clean, the building itself left a lot to be desired as it is worn and perhaps inhabited by some as their home.

The location is near my job i was attending and I had an appointment near there too. I was over charged for the room doing tap pay and they kept my deposit for no reason. They charged a deposit my 1st night then the 2nd did a more expensive deposit. What the heck. And when I asked for a business card they dont have them and no manager was on duty for another full day. They wont respond back to me either.

Room was very clean, bed was good but mattress was a bit hard. Nice choices for breakfast. Very reasonable for a stop-over on our trip.

Never found any margarine at breakfast.

Hotel was clean. Staff was nice and friendly. Parking well lit.

Stale smell of the room. Loud TV in the room next to us, could not sleep well. Water damage to ceiling in the bathroom with the paint peeling off. Given a handicap room which was not ordered. Not recommended!

The pool. I live in town so I come to this hotel frequently to swim. I stayed at this location 9/4-9/6. The lady working the front desk was very rude and unaccommodating. No one wears name tags so I can't identify who she was but she is very short with long black hair, (Indian) I believe she may be a manager which is unfortunate with her attitude. I requested to extend my reservation one more day, she told me no immediately without hesitation, and I would have to check out and then check back in later that same day! Without an early check in! Eventually after me explaining it to her multiple times, she was able to extend my stay at a much higher rate than I paid the night before! That was not communicated to me either. But I paid The $124 plus deposit. She told me it was $90 total. ( It's Monday, I still don't have my refund for both days! 2 separate deposits for 1 stay) The young white man was incompetent, and rude when I checked out, and I had to "find" him for front desk service. I know he is fairly new, but that is unacceptable as well, especially since the lobby/ breakfast area was disgusting, no one had cleaned the seating area from breakfast, it was 11:10 when I checked out. Also breakfast was undercooked sausage and not enough eggs to feed the first floor. They ran out. Smh. And I truly hope no one got sick. My hallway smelled like garbage for 2 days, because a guest left a trash bag in the hallway that did not get thrown away for my entire stay! I really like this hotel and I can see some major renovations taking place, my advice is to look at your staff and make the necessary adjustments before you lose more customers from rude and inattentive staff members. Housekeeping is great, the rooms are okay, the bathrooms need extra care, the addition of lounge chairs in the hallways are nice, some outdoor seating would be great out back by the parking lot/smoking area. I hope some of these issues get addressed before my next stay, or I will be finding other accommodations moving forward.
